Things You Don't Want to Hear
I had a loss this morning and, man, was I excited about it. I nearly broke my fingers to get on MFP to log the loss. After that, I called my wife to let her know that I had lost weight and she replied... "[snicker] Good lord, you're like a girl, constantly weighing yourself." This has been HARD! I'm working my butt off for…

Really Hoped I Would Have Lost More By Now
I went to the doctor on the 20th. He told me that my cholesterol was high and that I was overweight (5'9" starting weight 205 lbs. Cholesterol count of over 250). I've had one month with my next appointment coming up quickly on the 20th of this month. Since that weigh in, I weigh 185 lbs which fluctuates daily between 185…

Fiber! Why Are You So Illusive?
I have been eating my veggies. Veggies which are high in fiber like brussell sprouts, asparagus, spinach, broccoli, etc. I've switched all grains to wholegrain (even pastas). I've choked down bowls of oatmeal, even though I absolutely detest oatmeal, and yet...I still can't hit my daily fiber goal. I really REALLY don't…

Omitting Coffee from Daily Journal
I drink black coffee nearly all day long. I absolutely love it and rarely put any type of cream or sugar in it, unless it's a special occasion, or I'm feeling comfy (like sweatpants, watching a scary movie comfy). However, despite this site attributing calories to black coffee, I do not believe that it actually equates to…

The Five Pound Hump!
Ugh, the five pound hump! Leveling off is the worst part of this lol. I know it's only temporary and it will pick up again shortly, but, man! After you've seen that needle steadily decreasing over the past few weeks and then nothing, day after day, it starts to tick you off a little.

I recently went for a doctor visit after five years of avoiding it, and found out that I was generally healthy except for my extremely high anxiety level, weight and I very high cholesterol count. Living in the south, on the…

The Dreaded Fourth of July Cookout
My wife is forcing me (a bit of an introvert) to attend a cookout hosted by one of her friends. Even though I'm on a strict low calorie, low cholesterol, no beer or soda diet, I'm going to have to attend this thing. I don't know any of these people and now I get the thousands of questions about why I'm not eating, why I…

My biggest issue thus far
I have to constantly work through a feeling of guilt when I eat. I'm eating healthy, adhering to my calorie count and I'm making progress. But, I constantly obsess over what I've eaten and how I probably didn't need it. It's a personal difficulty that I struggle with every day.

I Found My Motivation
My wife and I recently became pregnant with our third child and I've been ecstatic about it since we got the positive result. Because of the industry in which I work, I have been working on becoming the biggest stressed out mess you've ever seen. After my last panic attack which lasted well over two hours and sent me to…
