Exercise tracking with Apple Watch or Map My Fitness
I have my Apple Watch connected to MFP to track my steps. I also have Map My Fitness for dedicated exercise like walks or bike rides. If I use the Map My Fitness for a walk will it end up double tracking my steps and give me more exercise credit than I should get?

Just starting out again but I'm wondering about how many steps you need to have taken in a day to get any kind of adjustment in calories for exercise. The steps I've taken show up in the app but under exercise it still always shows 0.

When I plug my stats in to the Scooby calculator it gives me a TDEE of 1623 however according to my Fitbit I burn between 1360-1564 calories per day if I get no additional exercise other than my daily activities. Ok to start with machines at gym?
Trying hard to up my exercise and keep what muscle I have left. I would eventually like to work up to free weights but am sadly out of shape. Is starting with the machines (where I feel less intimidated) okay or are the machines just a waste of time? I'm thinking something is better than nothing at this point?
