Feeling bummed

Does anyone else find themselves exercising just to enjoy something extra?
I just have to say I love this app!!!! It really gets me motivated to stay within my limits and to not eat high calorie sugary foods. Calorie goal question
So this app wants me to maintain 1280 calories a day but I feel that's not enough. I'm going to be starving!!! Would 1500 calories be ok and still help me lose weight?
