TAI CHI?
I do work out now. I am finally able to do 15 minutes on the elliptical without thinking I'm killing my knees lol. Recently though I saw a video about tai chi. It looks low impact, I saw heavy set people doing it, and I wonder if anyone has used it successfully as part of weight loss?

Emotional Eating
This past year I realized for the first time that I'm an "emotional eater". And I decided to address the issue with alternatives, even if the alternative is food. Right now I am pretty proud of me. My Mom passed away and I had to do some hefty travel. Though I didn't stick strictly to the diet plan, I didn't go crazy with…

Decided to design my own program
I've tried everything it seems. Nothing works. I like designing my own recipes and frankly want to eat what I like. So, after a lot of soul searching and sound advice, I decided to work out my own weight loss program. One thing I discovered was that I had set my calorie count too low. Cauliflower Tots
I bought some from Green Giant. They're pretty good and creamy as well. But I wondered what was in them that made them creamy. Still don't know. Anyway, I decided to make my own. USING DIET MEALS FROM THE STORE
I've always cooked. So following recipes isn't an issue. The problem is: I always go past my allowable calories because there's three of us in our home and recipes are for 2, 4 or 6. Weight Watchers and other portioned control meals are readily available in the stores, so I thought I would wean us into those. I realize you…

DASH diet and diabetes
I am at my wits end! I joined two separate gyms offering to help with my weight loss efforts. As part of this, the first gym claimed to have a nutritional program. After three weeks of begging it finally arrived and I was simply astounded! Here I was, morbidly obese at 250 pounds and in my sixties and they wanted me to eat…

glucommanan or white kidney bean extract?
I have a voracious appetite. I will be going through a bunch of testing because I have a low platelet count which the doctor thinks could account for part of the problem. In the meantime, I want to try a natural appetite suppressant. He suggested either of these but doesn't know if they really help or not. Just that they…
