Do you need to be in calorie surplus to build lean muscle? I don’t want to bulk and then have to cut. I’m only 110 lbs and 5’1, but I want to be able to build lean muscle so that I looked toned.

I’m thinking about buying a food scale, but I want to know more then just the weight of my food. How do people who have a food scale use this? Do you typically take the food and weight and add it to MyFitnessPal to get the nutritional breakdown, or is there other apps that you use?

Strength training only burns 110 calories?
According to my fitness pal strength training/weight lifting only burns 110 calories in a 45/50 minute session? Is this accurate? I usually perform 8-9 exercises with 4 sets of 8 reps on days I’m lifting heavy and 12 reps if I’m lifting moderately heavy. If I’m only burning 110 calories that seems like all of my hard work…

Does anyone know whether low sodium intake is bad for your health?
I noticed when I track my meals (and I typically eat the same thing everyday) my sodium intake was 860 mg. This is lower then the recommended daily intake, and I was wondering whether this could be bad for my health. Nuts as a Healthy Fat
Is it bad to eat a serving size of nuts twice a day? I like to add (walnuts/pistachios) to my plain yogurt and I also like to have an apple with some almonds in the afternoon as it keeps me fuller. Does anyone think it’s too much fat or could cause weight gain?
