When to add foods to MFP?
How/when do you most of you add your foods - as you eat them or first thing in the morning? I've been doing it first thing for months ... it helps me plan what I will eat, since I can see how it fits in my calories / macros, and I can also see how exercise effects it. However, I recently synced with FitBit, and I am…

Is alcohol ok if it fits into my calorie count?
I'm working really hard to lose about 20lbs, and have lost about 3 in the last 3 weeks. I've been cutting out alcohol some nights - most nights - but allow myself a drink or two on the weekends if it fits into my calorie count. What's the consensus on trying to lose weight and drinking? If I have room in my calorie count…

BMR/TDEE question
I've been exercising 6-7 days a week for 4 weeks and have seen about a 3% body fat loss, but the scale goes up and down between 152 and 156. I read another thread here in which someone said that they calculated their BMR and TDEE and found out that they weren't eating enough, and when they increased their calories, weight…

Containers and recipe question
Hi - Brand new here. I hope to buy the 21 day fix this week. I am a little confused about the containers though. I eat a lot of skinnytaste / lowfat recipes. How do you account for all the ingredients? I rarely eat anything like a plain piece of grilled chicken. If I marinate chicken and then grill it, or bake chicken with…

Macro help
I have some questions regarding macros. Background: I am 37, 160lbs and 5'7". I used a calculator to determine my TDEE and came up with 2020. I used a Firefox greasemonkey add on to change the goals on MFP, and came up with this: Net Calories Consumed* / Day 1,520 cal/day Carbs / Day 161.0 g Fat / Day 51.0 g Protein / Day…

Can you lose weight without cutting alcohol/coffee with sugar?
Hi all. Fairly new mom here, been using MFP for a while but for the first time I am REALLY trying hard to lose. I am hoping to lose 20lbs by my son's first birthday, July 1. I'm 5'7" and 160 now and on a 1200 cal diet. Trying to do Jillian Michaels' beginner shred videos 5x a week mixed in with some Leslie Sansone walking…

Eating all the calories gained by exercise?
Should I be eating them all? I feel like that defeats the purpose of working out - but I have also heard that you don't want to eat less than 1200 calories, and with my exercise today, my "net" calorie intake is 1070. Is that bad? Should I eat another 130 calories somehow? (Won't be hard ... ) Thanks for any input!
