On the topic of track driving.
Does anyone know how many calories you burn when driving on a racetrack? I went for a track day and I realized afterwards just how tiring it can be, but I don't know if that's because of the stress of the turns on your body or because you're actually working.

On the topic of hill physics.
Question regarding running: I understand why, on a treadmill, setting an incline increases the calories burnt. But...does this actually work outside? Why? Because, as someone who understands phsyics and not physiology, any energy you build up going up a hill is lost going back down it. Is the difference caused by the body…

On the topic of running in snow and slush
Does running in snow or slush bun more, between the additional focus you have to give it and the slight backwards movement when you move your foot and etc etc? I know the cold itself is negligible, but I can't seem to find a good answer for the physics of snow running. I know I always FEEL more tired...but I dunno' the…

On the subject of outdoor calorie estimation
So, I've recently taken up running outside. I used to run on a treadmill, which was nice, but I no longer possess a treadmill since I moved. My question is thus: how do you estimate how many calories you've burnt when running? Or at least how fast you're going? I want to put down an estimation, not just what the site gives…

Predicted versus Actual loss
Yah, so, I have noticed when inputting how much I've run/biked (on the treadmill/machine): when I run, the amount of calories I actually burn (what the treadmill says) is always lower than what the formula predicts when I input it, and when I bike, the amount I actually burn is almost always higher than the predicted…

On the topic of how weight actually declines.
So, I weighed myself recently, and something weird happened. About a week and a half ago, I weighed 200 pounds. Since then, my calorie intake has been less than my metabolism each day (except one, I think)-not necessarily at my goal every day, but low enough that I would be losing weight. Now, my weight says 203. Where is…

On the topic of reporting non-cardio exercise
The system does not seem to recognize weight-lifting, eg things that do NOT fall under cardio exercise, as burning calories. Out of curiosity, why is this?
