On the topic of reporting non-cardio exercise

The system does not seem to recognize weight-lifting, eg things that do NOT fall under cardio exercise, as burning calories.

Out of curiosity, why is this?

Because there are so many variables:

How much you weigh, rest time, how strong you are already, amount of weight you are using, etc etc.

There is pretty much no way to know how many calories you burn without a HRM.

That being said: Just log it as Strength Training in "cardio" :)
  • I log it under cardio as strength training and use my HRM to input exact calories burned. I'm not sure how you could estimate without an HRM but the calories burned that calculate with the cardio strength training option are usually really low for me if I do kettlebell stuff or standing hand weights and pretty accurate if I'm on machines.
