More luck eating back exercise calories, or TDEE - 20%?
I'm currently going a bit nuts trying to figure out the best way to not only lose weight, but keep it off and maintain the healthy lifestyle that comes along with it. I started with the standard way of putting my details into MFP, wanting to lose 2lbs a week (as everyone does), and I've slowly evolved through the different…

Knee pain after skipping rope.
I've been doing Stronglifts for about 6 weeks now, and last monday I thought I'd try and burn a few extra calories by skipping rope (first time in probably 20 years too). I was fine that night, no issues apart from a mild case of being completely uncoordinated. Finally got the rhythm down and burn quite a few calories. The…

Can I still do 5X5 Stronglifts while trying to lose weight?
So I'm about 2/3rds to my goal weight wise, I've lost about 35kg (77lbs), and I wanna lose another 16 to my goal weight. I've mainly focused on cardio until about 4 weeks ago when i started the stronglifts program. Now while i'm getting stronger, and i'm definitely feeling the weight increases, I'm wondering whether this…

Would this be considered moderate or heavy exercise?
So, I go to the gym 4-5 days a week, but I'm usually there for a couple of hours each time. I usually burn between 1000-1200 cals a go each time too, standard stronglifts 3x a week. My cardio is usually a 5km run in about 35 mins, then 35 on the treadmill and 35 on the bike. I'm trying to figure out which level activity…

Help with working out what I should be eating.
Alright, I'll get straight into it. I'm 175cm tall, and weigh 96.2kg. So far I've lost 40kg over about 6 months. Tape measure wise, I'm sitting at about 32% body fat with the military calculator, and for some reason 25.7 with the Covert one (???) Up until this very moment, I've had my daily intake at 1500cal (almost 2lbs a…

I exercise after midnight, do I put it into the next day?
I work nights, so I finish at 10-11pm usually, get home and then go to the gym from there. By the time I get home it's usually between 12:30/1am, I have a protein shake, shower then I'm usually in bed by about 2:30-3am. I log the protein shake and exercise into the next day, just wanted to make sure that would still be…

Still can't make calorie targets.
I've been attempting to eat back all of my exercise calories, and I cannot seem to do it. Past 3 days i've netted about 3-400 under my actual target. I'm also set for 2lbs a week as I still have about 45lbs left to get to my target. I can usually make it, or at least close to on days I'm not exercising, but some days I'm…

Does listed as Sedentry as my daily life mean...
That I log literally everything I do? The majority of my work day is spent at a desk, but some days I'm walking around quite a lot. Only reason I noticed this is by having a gps pedometer has made me realise I've walked 5ks at work today, which would take another 200cals out of my diet. I go to the gym 5 days a week as…

So, BMR, TDEE, Jebus I'm confused.
Alrighty, so after setting up a goal of wanting to lose 2lbs a week (I'm currently at 231lbs or 105kgs), it's telling me that I should average about 1500cals a day. Fair enough, i'm still trying to work out whether or not I should be eating back my exercise cals as well, but that's not what this topic is about (if you have…

I can never make my calorie requirement.
Hi, Long time listener, first time poster..haha. Apart from days where i've gone a bit ape on food (few and far between), i've just started eating properly after being on Tony Ferguson for a couple of months. While i'm actually enjoying partaking in the act of actually eating foods rather than being on the flat out low…
