Should I use up all of my calories?
My caloric goal is 1200. If I eat less than that, MFP comes up with that warning about being too low. However, if I work out, and eat over 1200 calories, but am still under the adjusted daily goal, should I use up those calories? Or is it still healthy not to? Not sure if my explanation is clear so here's what I mean: My…

Reward ourselves when we meet short term goals! (Group idea?
I've decided that if I can stick to my caloric goal for 5 weeks, I will reward myself with something that I would not normally treat myself to. I've never had a massage, I could never feel good about the amount of money they cost (I am a college student trying to spend as little as possible). But if I could dedicate myself…

Accuracy of calories burned biking
I'm always really shocked at the number of calories burned while bike riding and was curious to ask if anyone better informed than myself would know if myfitnesspal tends to be accurate in its estimations. I just did an hour long bike and it says that I burned about 400 calories. I normally push myself a little more and…

Break a "sugar addiction"?
I don't know if a sugar addiction is a real thing or not, but if it is, I think I got it. My healthy eating goes wonderfully and I feel great about it until I run into my regular sugar cravings and kind of lose control. When it comes to the sweets, I usually eat 'em until I feel sick. =\ Have you had any luck in learning…

Notes to yourself on cupboards/fridge?
Do you post pictures, quotes or notes on your cupboards and/or fridge? If so, what do they picture or say? I don't have any as of yet, but my greatest struggle has been limiting my sweets. I have a satisfying diet until I run into these fat-food binges that seem to happen without my even deciding. So, I found this link on…

Mantras, binges & (lack of) self control
What's your weight loss mantra(s)? I'm wanting a mantra. Something that gives me a conscious feeling of challenge, and helps me keep in mind that I WANT to lose weight. And that that is directly connected to learning self-control at the times when self-control isn't even a concept to me. =\ Any tips for this issue would be…

What time do you stop eating? (1 Week "Group" here?)
Is there a certain time of night that you stop eating by? I'm a night owl and late night binging is my weakness. So, for this 1 week, until next Thursday, I am not going to eat after 8pm. If I feel good about that, then I will keep it up. I figured we could check in about it here, and once the challenge is done, the thread…

Headache after exercise?
Every once in a while, when I'm done doing a work out, I'll have this horrible headache that will last for hours. It's not like a migraine, but just a sensitivity to light, and I can't bend over to pick anything up because when I lean over a certain amount, it makes the headache throb. This doesn't happen all that often,…

Weight loss related reading material?
Have you read any books about fitness and/or nutrition that you found to be helpful? Can you share the title and author of the book and say how it was helpful to you/what you liked about it? I haven't read anything like this yet, but am wanting to- which is why I ask. =)

Feel fat, uninspired and lazy.
I am recovering from a 2-3 week fallback. I let the holidays and the food get to me. For the past few days I've been telling myself I NEED to just start up again. Start small, just get the ball rolling, get back on the horse, I can do it. Today its been raining. But I still managed to push myself out the door, telling…

Sudden 5lb gain...then lost?
For about 3 weeks I was eating healthy and exercising about 5x a week. I started at 150lbs and got down to 146. And then the last 10 days happened, in which I worked out maybe twice, and ate very unhealthfully. I was convinced that I blew it and would be starting from scratch, as far as losing pounds goes. I weighed myself…
