Won't lose weight
20 weeks tomorrow commuting to work completely via bicycle, running errands and appointments too. I have racked up over 1,500 miles. I ride between 6 and 8 miles on the way to work AND on the way home. I lost a bit of weight at first...absolutely plateaued and actually started gaining back again. Frustrating as crap. Food…

Blood Panel
The biggest kick in the rear I have ever received towards making a permanent change. More like a kick in the stomach. Marathon, 1/2 Marathon
I want to be able to run a 1/2 Marathon by summer...maybe a full 26.2 eventually. Any advice or good resource recommendations for a training plan to build up to those goals? I'm a biker/cyclist (Mountain Biker)...I hate to run, so this will be a mental challenge for me too.

Hello!
New to fitnesspal. I have used Fitday to keep track for years. I have bounced up and down the scale for 15 years or so, mostly UP. I heard the best motivational words from my doctor three weeks ago. "Your cholesterol is VERY high, like heart attack NOW range. You need to do something about it or you will die young." I'm…

High Cholesterol turnaround?
Three weeks ago, got the bomb from the doc. "You have very high cholesterol..." It's 270. I've read and he recommended to keep my daily intake to at or below 200mg of cholesterol and it should come down in the test within a few months. I've been averaging about 150mg per day for the last three weeks. I want to keep it that…
