Counting walking the dog?
Hey MFP! I just rescued a 2 year old beagle and she is incredibly active! We take about 3 - 4 longish walks per day at a pretty good clip, including some stints of running. I haven't been wearing my HRM for them because I haven't been considering them "exercise" per se, but they definitely are burning calories. Do you…

Wii Fit scale
Does anyone else regularly use the Wii Fit scale to weigh in? I've been using it since July, and while I like it, on the whole, this morning it said I was up .4 pounds. I was a little irritated given my past two days have been good with lots of water, but I shrugged it off. After using the bathroom, I thought I'd weigh…

70 pounds down, 60 to go!
I promised myself that I'd post at the halfway mark to remind myself of how far I've come in under a year (I started losing weight in July 2010). Since I've started losing weight and taking back some control in my life, I've lost 70 pounds, ran a 5K on Thanksgiving and an 8 mile race last weekend. I've lost a small person…

Website with women at different heights/weights
A few months back there were a couple of posts about a website that had real women (and maybe men, too, but I can't remember) posting pictures of themselves at various weights. It also included things like pant size, top size, etc, and you could search by body type, height, etc. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about…

Polar F6 question
During my morning run, the HRM kept jumping around in my heart rate - 180, 0, 155, 78, 0, etc. It's only 6 months old and should not be malfunctioning like this. Has anyone else had this problem? Nothing like this has ever happened before. Help!

Completed C25K!
I never thought I'd be able to say this but I completed Couch to 5K this morning!! When I started, I was 38 pounds heavier, massively out of shape, and could barely run a minute at a time. I'm not up to a full 5K yet (I'm only running just over 2 miles on the treadmill) but I am going to start aiming for increasing speed…

C25K: Week 5 Day 3!
Help! I need some reassurance from people who have done Couch to 5K that Week 5 Day 3 is doable. I've done Week 5 Days 1 and 2 a couple of times now, and the second 8-minute run is not getting much easier, so I really can't imagine jogging for the full 20 minutes!! Success stories and tips please...It seems so daunting…
