Figuring out daily caloric needs
Is there anyone who really knows how to get this? I seem to get variations and have changed it up a few times, but nothing has been the magic number yet so I know I am right. I would love if someone would teach me the correct equation, or maybe figure it for me so I can tell if I have the correct calorie target for me...…

Help with Calculations????
Every time I put info - the same info - into a calorie calculator, I get a different amount - Mayo clinic tells me 1650 to maintain (so 1150 to lose), Scooby tells me 2058 to maintain &1497 to lose , calorie king tells me 1800 to maintain (so 1300 to lose) - can anyone help me figure this out?? Thanks :)

BMR....???
How do you use BMR? Is this the amount of calories you should eat each day? Or should you eat more or less than the BMR to lose weight? This site is the first time I've seen this, and I'm not really sure how to use the info...what do you guys do? Do most eat excercise calories or not? Thanks!! :smile:

Just wanted to say hi! :happy: I've been tracking using MFP for 3-4 weeks now and have been reading these boards - lots of great info! I am really loving this so far and hope to be as successful as many of you already are. I think it would be great to add some friends to make the journey more fun!
