For those that take or have taken HCTZ for blood pressure
Since starting MFP, (actually, since about two weeks prior to even knowing what MFP was ) , I have lost 44 pounds. The majority of that was done strictly with diet alone, and only in the past 2 weeks have I started doing any exercise to boot. When I started trying to lose weight, I was 265 pounds, and it was pretty common…

Burned out on Subway
Today is my 81'st day using MFP, and I LOVE it! Just wondering where some of you guys and gals go when you have to eat fast food from time to time. I should buy stock in Subway with as much money as I've spent there in the past 81 days ( not that bad really, but it IS the only drive thru I've used since MFP ) . Anywhere…

P90x and / or Insanity while trying to lose weight?
Has anyone that's been very strict following their MFP program also tried either P90X or Insanity while doing it ? I am currently only averaging about 1450 calories per day ( recommends 1400 at the most agressive here ) and I know for a fact that is nowhere near enough for those two programs. I want to do them both for…

Four more pounds to go until goal!...or is there more.....
When I joined I set a goal for myself of 195 pounds. Since Sundays are our weigh in days, I was extremely happy to step on that scale and watch 199.6 pounds pop up on the screen. Now that I'm about a week and a half out from my 195, I can look in the mirror and see there's good progress that's been made, but more work that…

My first noteworthy NSV
I've been a member here for right around 122 days, and I can remember about 3 weeks before I joined, I was shopping for work pants. Being a short guy ( 5'6 ) I had a very hard time finding something that would fit my waist but also fit my length. I wound up having to go online and buy some 44 x 29's. ( At first, I bought…

Will I eventually " catch my calories " so to speak?
Hey guys, I've been wondering about what to do when I hit my goal and start a maintenance calorie amount instead of a losing calorie amount. Right now , I average 1400 calories a day , 43 year old male, walk 1.5 - 2.5 miles every day. If it rains me out of walking, I'll do the Your Shape xbox 360 stuff for half an hour.…

Opinions on my Diary
Hey guys, long time reader first time poster ;-) Really, just looking for someone that knows nutrition to browse at my food log and see if they have any advice on tweaking it. I've been reading a lot of forum posts and trying to educate myself the best I can. I'm a 43 year old male, I started out at 265 pounds and then had…
