P90x and / or Insanity while trying to lose weight?

Has anyone that's been very strict following their MFP program also tried either P90X or Insanity while doing it ? I am currently only averaging about 1450 calories per day ( recommends 1400 at the most agressive here ) and I know for a fact that is nowhere near enough for those two programs. I want to do them both for sure, but should I wait until I get closer to my target goal ? I'm concerned the amount of calories they require you to eat will stunt my weight loss momentum ?

    IF your food choices are still good with all healthy foods then you should still lose weight while upping your calories the more calories will just provide you with energy to do the workouts

    I'm a 1600 (what I need to lose 2lbs a week) and I'm doing P90x, I try to always eat back what I spend. The main thing I did was follow P90x fat/carb/protein % in my 1600 diet.
