Eat b4 morning workout our after?

Looking for opinions on yoga......started a class which is very basic very beginner. I really like it and want to know if more advanced classes would be worth checking into.

Walking - fast or slow - which burns more?
I have been noticing that people who walk slower and for less time than I do are burning more calories - is this really possible??? I walk at 4.0 which I was sure was the best for burning but now I am doubting myself. Any comments or thoughts on this would be GREATLY appreciated!
