Looking for some running advice
Over the past 3 years, I've done quite a few half marathons, and smaller races. Although I enjoy the comradery of seeing some of my friends once a race. I'm getting tired of the distance, and that it is really hard for me to train with long distance runs. My times are pretty slow, even using the run walk method. My best…

Fighting Temptation - Share your success story
My office mate is eating crisps rather loudly. I swear I can smell the fatty goodness. I'm holding on for dear life not to go grab a bag myself, and join this crispy crunch crusade he's having. BUT I'm holding strong trying to tough it out. Anyone have a temptation success story to share?

Hi Everyone, I'm a old member who used MFP quite a bit. I had gotten down to about 160, tracking my calories and exercising. I was swimming 3 days a week, or I was running 4 days a week. For a few months I plateaued. So I checked out Cross Fit, to start building muscle. My first several times going to class I ended up…

Weight Loss and Gaining Strength
Hi Everyone, I come seeking advice. I weigh 155 lbs and I'm 5' 6" tall. My highest weight was 165 lbs. Over the past year I have been stuck at 155 lbs (sometimes at 150 sometimes creeping backup). I don't know my body fat percentage but I know I can easily pull about 2" from my stomach (gross!). I've been eliminating…

F for First Day of Crossfit
So I failed to complete my first session of crossfit. I got extremely dizzy during: the ball throws with a squat, the burpees, and learning how to hold a bar (starting in a squat). The dizzy feeling went away if we moved on to something else (like jumprope, box jumps, or running), but when we got to learning how to lift it…
