Peanut butter alternatives?
I'm just going to come out and say it...I HATE PEANUT BUTTER and everything that it is in. I know , i know...everybody thinks i'm not American, but its disgusting. That being said, I really love to make protein shakes, protiein brownies/cookies and other healthy recipes. The problem is, most of them use peanut butter and…

Dr. mentioned PCOS but didn't seem concerned???
So I went to the Dr. yesterday for a sports physical for my fitness bootcamp. However, I thought I had self diagnosed myself with exercise induced amenorrhea (having come from a low calorie diet and intense exercise) but he mentioned PCOS and long story short...that was pretty much the end of the visit. I have had one…

3,500 cal = 1 lb Dear bathroom scale: In order to have gained 6 lbs of fat in 3 weeks time I would have had to of eaten 3,500 X 6 = 21,000 calories OVER TDEE. Or 1,000 calories over TDEE EVERYDAY! I have ate at a modest cut and an occassional tdee day. I weight/measure 90% of the time. I'm no fool! Your caught in the act…

So a mini background story : I started MFP having basically starved myself on 1200 calories for a long while to lose weight (so much that my body quit functioning properly and I lost my menstral cycle for 4 months) . from 212 to 169 on the way to 150 with pics!
This is my first attempt at posting pictures on a forum so hopefully it works! In january 2012 I started a new way of life. Since then I have lost 43 lbs and countless inches. I wish I had documented the whole process better, but honestly, I dont think that I ever thought I would make it this far. I lacked the ability to…

Don't trust my own knowledge, so tell me my TDEE please?
I tend to be a 'by the books' , precise type of person but unfortunately ALWAYS second guess myself. One day I KNOW something to be true, the next i'm only pretty sure. So i'm asking everyone else to tell me what they think my TDEE is and I can take it from there... I am 28 years old 5'5 (65.5 inches) Weight 169 lbs BMR…

Words can't describe my appreciation...
I am making time in my day today just to make sure I get this post in because I think people should know exactly what the EM2WL group in combination with my fitness bootcamp/zumba instructor has done for me. She knows her stuff along with SOME of the people on this forum. Just like so many other people , I woke up one day…

A small NSV. My first share :)
Boy has this been one crazy journey but yesterday it really clicked. I'm really doing this. I've got that addicted to a healthier lifestyle feeling and not letting go. The scale was my best friend at the beginning of my weight loss journey (January 2012) and the lbs flew off. 30 of them to be exact. Then it stopped dead…
