Boy has this been one crazy journey but yesterday it really clicked. I'm really doing this. I've got that addicted to a healthier lifestyle feeling and not letting go.
The scale was my best friend at the beginning of my weight loss journey (January 2012) and the lbs flew off. 30 of them to be exact. Then it stopped dead and I have been working out hardcore for about 12 weeks now.
It has been hard some days to remain positive since despite some serious calorie burns the scale was only reflecting minimal effort at best. It has taken quite some time to lose this 5 lbs (with 25ish left to go) but I just wanted to say this :
In these last 5 lbs I have recieved more compliments than in the whole 30 lbs before it from people that see me everyday as well as people whoe only see me once in a while! Working out has really made such a big difference in my confidence and the structure of my body. All this being said I have FINALLY come to accept the scale for what it can be at times - A dirty little progress liar. lol. I get measured in one more week and I can't wait to post the progress I know will show through!

Congratulations on your progress! You are right that the scale can sometimes be a liar. I've noticed that even when the needle doesn't move, my clothes will still fit better or even become too big. While achieving a healthy weight is an important goal, it's not the only measure of success or progress. Thanks for sharing!0

I'm with you on that. I prefer measuring any day! Keep working hard, it pays off.0
