Leg cramps, what's your best remedy?
I get a lot of leg cramps, usually calf, but lately ankle/foot and sometimes even full leg cramps from thigh to ankle which are really unpleasant  I usually try to massage them, but wondered if there were any other remedies, vitamins or natural supplements (maybe I'm lacking something?) I might be able to try to stop…

Unable to exercise, what calorie limit would you recommend?
Hi, Just looking for a few different opinions to make sure I'm on the right track. I am struggling to exercise because of injuries and pain and need to just take a step back from training to rest and recover properly before I try again. I do however need to keep losing weight and as so many people have told me losing…

How do you deal with severe pain?
I am in a lot of pain. As a general run down I have slipped discs in my back, crushed nerves which cause nerve pain in my legs as well as major loss of feeling in my legs and feet, the muscles in my upper right calf don't activate, my right heel has collapsed, I have next to no cartilage in my right knee, and left knee is…

Lap Swimming, better with flippers or without?
Bit of an odd question, but one that's been bugging me. I go swimming and do laps as part of my cardio for the week. I see these fantastic lap swimmers while at the pool and have noticed that pretty much all of them wear flippers while swimming. So what are the benefits of using flippers? Would you burn more/less calories?…

Has everyone made it past Day 1?
So I'm on Day 2 and it felt better already not jumping on the scales this morning, and I'm also on Day 2 of my 3 day Cleanse and Detox, which is so far so good! My mind is wandering to them more often than I'd care to admit but I'm determined they won't beat me today ;) How did everyone else go today?

Welcome :)
Hi, Thanks for all jumping on board the idea of not weighing for 30 days. I know it's going to be hard to break that daily visit, but I really think it'll be worth it in the long run! Feel free to share a bit about yourself and why you're joining in :) Mic

Ditching the scales for one month, who's in?
I've been struggling to keep momentum with weight loss the past few weeks and a lot of it has got to do with a big mental barrier of getting into the double digits under 100kg. I'm so very close and since I've seen that number getting closer I have been slowly giving up and returning to bad habits, self sabotage in it's…

Mental Barrier - I've lost my Mojo
It took me a while to get my head in the game to start losing weight, mainly due to how many injuries I have and pain, but also a lot of self doubt in my ability to lose and maintain a low weight as I have lost 50kg in the past and then put it all back on. I have struggled to come to terms with just how much hard work it…

Lifting, more or less?
Hi, I am new to lifting and looking at building muscle strength and definition as well as weight loss. I'm limited with some lifts due to injuries, but am able to do a few things. At the moment I am doing 3 sets of 12-15 reps of the following: Bicep curls - 5kg (11pd) each hand Tricep kickbacks - 5kg (11pd) each hand…

Weights over Cardio help
Just after some opinions/advice on how I should go about my program. I have a variety of injuries that rules out a lot of cardio activities, I can use the X-Trainer, the Bike and swimming. I have been going to the gym 5 days a week, generally as follows: Monday - Bike 15mins, weights routine (arms, shoulders, back and…

Plateaus. :/ What's your experience with them?
Might be a bit of a simple question, but I am new to the Plateau effect, the last time I was serious about my weight and lost 50kg (110pd) I never once hit a plateau, every week there was a loss of 0.5kg-1kg (1-2pds) and I just kept powering through. At the moment though I am heading into Week 6 of a brand new routine,…

Exercising with Chronic Pain
Hi, I am just starting out again and would love some support and motivation from others who are suffering from pain and still losing weight, or trying to lose weight :) I have been struggling with my weight for some time now, and aside from eating the wrong foods and too much of generally everything, I am also struggling…
