NSV! Distance PR!
NSV!! Distance PR! I jogged EIGHT miles without walking!!! 85 minutes. The most I've ever done prior to this was a 10K race three years ago. For those working on c25K, I started there, too. If I can do this, anyone can! Believe in yourself! I am super impressed with myself right now. When I was nearing the end of my jog, I…

Christmas goodies you're excited for
Every Christmas I look forward to my mom's peanut butter fudge (it's actually chocolate/PB, not just PB). It is soooo good and we only have it at Christmas. It's not Christmas without PB fudge. This year I'm going to tackle homemade cinnamon rolls. (Rising dough. YIKES!!! I've never tried anything with rising dough…

I lift heavy 5X week, so I set the scale to "female athlete." I took a photo of my scale this morning, because I finally hit the 160's (for the first…

You know you chose the right trainer when...
I started working with a trainer, specifically to prepare me for my first powerlifting meet. I was apprehensive, having heard so many horror stories on here about bad trainers. Here's the things so far that have shown me I chose the right one: 1. When I told him I HATE preacher curls, he said, "Good. Glad I put them in…

Wendler's 5/3/1 question
Just did my first day on the Wendler's 5/3/1 program. I went through the deadlift session. I did the program deads, then one assistance move, Joker Sets, and then it kicked me out for the day. It only took me about 15 minutes to do the whole thing. Is this right?!?
