Ingress : A smartphone game that'll make you walk
I know some of you use apps to help for motivation and fun. I've always had a problem when it comes to taking walks. I can't just go out and walk without a purpose. I need to go somewhere, or do something. And because of that, I'm not very active between my gym sessions. Until I discovered Ingress. Ingress is an augmented…

Mr Miyagi on plateauing ;)
When I'm stuck in a plateau, I keep telling myself that even if I don't lose weight, my body is still glad that I'm working out. That I should do it anyway because it's good for my mind, it's good cardio. The body will react to it sooner or later. And I recently watched Karate Kid (yeah I'm kinda nostalgic). So I made this…

60lbs later, playing with old clothes
So yesterday I reached the 60 pounds loss. As I went through my wardrobe, I was able to take a lot of clothes from the "old clothes" section of my wardrobe, and bring it back to the "can actually wear" section. As I type this, I'm wearing a t-shirt I used to wear in 2005. Also, I went through my "way too large" clothes…

Am I really burning all these calories?
Hi there! I've been on MFP since this summer. What I always hated about it is that the estimations of calorie loss has a big margin of error, and sometimes it overestimates everything. So in order to have the real numbers, I bought an HRM (Polar FT7). I entered my information in there correctly. Today, after my HIIT class,…

Story for those who are not/never satisfied
So a lot of us lost a lot of weight. And some, like me (I dropped 53 pounds in 7 months) are still not satisfied. I still see that belly, I still hate it, and to me I look exactly the same, only in smaller proportions. Even though I had to punch 4 extra holes in my belt! A friend of mine told me a story. He has a friend…

So I found this t-shirt I used to wear last spring
52 pounds later, it looks like this. I'll keep it as a reference. Also, I can see on the 2nd picture that my thighs are a LOT more slimmer than they used to be.. [edit : added info about my thighs]

And what about AFTER you reached your ultimate goal?
Hi everyone. I don't know if many of you have actually reached their ultimate goal. If you did, what was the next step? And if you are going towards your ultimate goal, are you thinking about what's coming next? I want to lose 100 pounds. When I'll be done with it, I will weigh 245 lbs, and I'll probably have some extra…

After ultimate gold, planning to have another one?
I started at 345 lbs. Now I'm almost 20 lbs down. I'm starting a more serious workout program in October, with the supervision of kinesiologists and nutritionists, it'll last 9 months. It should be quite efficient to help me achieve my goal which is 245 lbs... a 100 lbs weight loss. So now, I'm already thinking... when I…

Accepting "fatness"
Today, I figured that before starting to work on my weight, I had to accept my fatness. People were saying they were worried for my health and I would answer angrily. It's when my doctor told me that I could live many years under the average that I decided I couldn't hide it anymore. Today, at the gym, I realized That when…

Looking for friends with a similar challenge
Hi there! I started to work out because I want to lose 100 lbs. I started at 345 lbs, already down to 334 lbs. I want to find people with a similar challenge so we can exchange on our experiences and stuff. Anyone else has 1/3 of their body mass to lose? Send me an invitation to become friends :)

Very first NSV
Hey there! New here, new to weight loss, and had my first NSV today. I decided I'd keep the same belt during my entire weight loss. Today I added my first extra-hole in that thing. I kinda liked losing my shorts, eheh, but that extra hole is a victory!
