My Butt Hurts!
The tailbone mostly. After doing a search the general consensus seems to say I need to hit a legit bike shop and get fitted in my saddle and/or get a proper saddle that didn't come from Wal-Mart. Is there anything else I should be asking the bike shop folks about pertaining to the fact that it hurts to sit?

SOS: Shout Out Sundays 2/24
Since Wonder Woman (garlic7girl) is off fighting crime, I'll throw up today's shout out post. So, what's going on in your world? Scale victories? Non-scale victories? Something cool you tried out? Somebody inspire you? Other random silly anecdotes related to fitness? Mine: Biatrixia turned me on to a blog post from a MFPer…

Expresso Bikes, Auto-updates and caloties.
So the moment MFP connected up with Expresso cycles I started using them at my local YMCA. They're probably the hardest bikes you're going to use in just about any gym (except maybe the spinning bikes). I absolutely love that they auto-update flawlessly. However, the calorie count doesn't seem accurate to me. Is anyone…

Are any of you cyclists using them this winter?

NAP TIME!
Sleep is highly beneficial to your body's processes. If you're not sleeping right it can hinder your sanity, your health and even your weight loss. Diary Equivocation
I've been here a little less than a month and for many food items in my diary I tend to equivocate to a similar food that's not quite exact, but is the closest I can find. Occasionally I'll go to the trouble of parting everything out from the meal I've just eaten, but more often than not I just find something that's close.…

Lunchtime Lottery
I'm still fairly new here, but wanted to share something I've been doing to better align myself with how to eat better. For breakfast I'm mostly eating sensible, but for lunch I'm going to all the places I'd normally go and eat the things I'd normally eat. I then make sure to record exactly what I had for lunch. It's like…

Figuring out how the food calculations work...
I'm still sort of new here and I'm a bit concerned about the automated goals MFP has set for me. It says my calorie intake should be 2,180 per day? I'm sedentary, 265 LBS, Male, 5'11", said I'd be exercising 3+ times per week of 30 minutes (which I am) and calculated 1 pound a week. My goal weight is 180. By looking at my…

Day 1 on MFP. What should I know about that isn't obvious?
Overall the site looks quite good. The two major factors I see are the calorie and exercise pages. They look like they integrate well. Everything else seems to be secondary. What should I be paying attention to that I'm not?
