Why are you taking Warfarin?
I know this group is more about those who have had strokes, but I am different I had a PE (Pulmonary Embolism - Blood clot on the lung) at the age of 32 (3 years ago), and have been found to have a genetic disorder called Factor V Leiden, which means I am more susceptible to clots. This came out of the blue completely, no…

Is it worth it? I know the answer would begin with 'depends....' But what are the depends criteria you would see that you'd get value out of paying $59 per year?

Road Cycling..... how do you do yours...
Since getting right into road cycling I've realised that you can't just get on the bike and go when you like - like when you was 13 years old, chuck on some trainers and just go.... My routine for an evening ride: 1. Make sure its been at least an hour since I have eaten 2. Make sure I've mixed and consumed some High5 Zero…

So, open to the floor if you had say up to £3,000 to spend on a bike (would prefer to keep the cost to £2,500 but will go to £3,000 if the benefit is there) - what would be…

Pre Ride Food.
Planning on going out for a 50 miler (first time) at the weekend during the day (starting mid morning) and looking for good ideas for a good breakfast to have before hand. Cereals? Eggs? Toast? What do people find the best thing that would tide them over for a good few hours. I am guessing this ride is going to be around…

My Success: Results of quitting smoking
Firstly, sorry if you are looking for pictures of a body after quitting smoking, you won't find one here.... I've now been smoke free for 40 weeks, every week I have been putting £50 into a clear jar, as motivation to keep going and show me just how much money I used to throw away (or should I say burn). Well here is the…

What is a "cup of water"
I guess its an American term but what measurement is a cup of water? It's only so I log my water intake more accurately to something I can relate to. Would most say 250ml is a cup?

My Progress
I am a first time poster and this year I've decided to make some changes but unfortunately I only found this web site a week ago - but the changes have started to be felt and show already. Some background of me, 35 year old male, who works in IT so spends 99% of the working day behind a desk, only drink rarely (i.e. at…
