How can you NOT injure yourself?
Just a thought I wanted to share, and it is a lesson on boundaries or more specifically, learning our boundaries. As part of my fitness, I run and lift weights. I will share my personal experiences with running but it probably can be said about any kind of training whether lifting or running or swimming or biking, ect. As…

What Not to Say to Runners
I came accross this on about.com and thought I share this with all the runners on MFP. And maybe for non-runners who have runners on their FL. http://running.about.com/od/RunningHumorStories/a/What-Not-To-Say-To-Runners.htm Once you've been running long enough, you'll inevitably encounter some naysayers who don't like,…

Sodium
So what is the verdict with sodium and if you exercise and sweat heavily? I usually stay under my sodium goals (2500 mg per MFP) or if I go over not too much. At most maybe hit 3500 mg a couple of times. But if you sweat a lot, you loose a lot of sodium (as well as potassium and other electrolytes). I run every morning on…

Gain Muscle while Loosing Fat?
Is it possible to do lifting and gain some muscle while I am still eating at a deficit to loose the fat? My plan is to first work on loosing the fat till I get to my goal weight then switch it up to put on the muscle (eating just above maintenance). But while I am in the calorie deficit mode, does it hurt to do light…

Types of Fat I should eat?
My goal right now is to lean down a lot. I have my 2 lb deficit set. OK! So now I am tracking information about the percentages of my Cal breakdown. So now MFP Has my goal set at 55% Carbs, 30% Fat, and 15% Protein. Which I am not sure is the right, since I think my protein percentage should be higher. But anyway. Now if I…
