Why is discouragement easier than motivation?

Exactly how much is too much?
Calories in a day that is. I think my mind is warped on what is acceptable lol Also, I'm still fairly new to this, so friend me (: Daily logins, moivation, updates, all that jazz. First time I tried MFP I stayed a hermit, So this time I want to be more involved :)

Calories or carbs?
I've noticed that even though I've gone over my calorie goal, including my binge on Thanksgiving, that ice stayed waaaaay under my carbs for the week. Which is most important? And what about the unsaturated fats?
