trusting your heart rate monitor
I have a decent timex heart rate monitor and it's calibrated to my weight and height. Can I trust how many calories it says I burn?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but I'm going to ask anyway. I burned over what my calorie allowance was for the whole day. I have a net calorie deficit of 67 calories, I did eat a couple hundred back. But it says I have like a whole days worth of calories I could eat. Is it healthy that I dont eat those ALL back?

Is it ok to splurge?
I burned an extra 400 calories today and I was hoping to use at least 300 of them on a decadent dessert. is that ok? Will it inhibit my weight loss? MEF
