I need advice. I started exercising again focusing on my lower body and I have killed my back. I haven't worked out in 4 days because my lower back hurts so much I am cranky. Any advice on how to protect my lower back and still focus on my lower body?

What do you think about having a day every 3-4 days where you add about 250 extra calories? I have been reading and reading and I am getting a lot of information that this keeps your metabolism confused and helps you break plateaus? Thoughts? Anyone every done this?
I need help I made a stew today and am only drinking the broth because I am sick. I am not eating the meat or veggies. I did a data base search and couldn't really find anything that fit. Anybody know about what I should count? Thanks
