techie help for figuring out a scales
Hi! So first of I know I shouldn't be basing my fitness on a scales, but I would like to have an fairly accurate idea of my weight (but avoid going to the docs to get that done :-) My question really is 2 fold. There are 3 scales in the house where I live. I own 2 of these (just never threw an old one out when I got the…

Mayo-v- Kerry replay. What a game!
Did anyone else go to/watch the replay yesterday? As a Mayo woman I'm still trying to come to terms with the defeat but it was an insane game to be at. Lots of talking points but I don't think I'm sufficiently calm to watch the match on player again. I think Kerry will struggle in the final if they meet Dublin, their full…

sun burnt and seeking advice! (slight self pity)
So summer has finally come to Ireland (for the next few days at least) and I took advantage of our camping trip to Connemara to spend a few hours on the beach yesterday. Long story short, despite plenty of suncream I'm now insanely burned. So much so I was contemplating going to A&E last night due to low body temp (93…

Many thanks to an Irish legend.

Ireland -v- the All Blacks.
Anyone else just watch the match? Sickened. So close to an historic win. Thoughts on the ref? Poor decisions throughout the second half in my opinion..letting the NZ team come in off side, hold on on the ground, time wasting. Ugh. The wait goes on. Devasted for the boys though, particuarly O Driscoll and O'Connell.

Quest bars..
Ok..a question for..well anyone really! Are quest bars really that expensive? Looking up ordering them online from stores here in Ireland and with or without postage and packaging they are coming up at roughly 36 euro for 12 bars..it seems kinda expensive. So..are they that expensive in America? is that a normal price? (I…

Two year changes (with pics )
So two years ago this month I graduated from Mary Immaculate college Limerick, Ireland with an honours degree in Education with History. It was a great day..but I really didn't like how I looked. So much so that I only have ten photos of the day, and some of those were the professional ones my parents wanted to get. I was…

So I'm going out this coming weekend with my gang of college friends. The last time we met up was the beginning of August for a few days away and I'm super excited to see them all again. With everything going on during the summer (break up, completing masters and lack of money) I've not been out for a proper night since…

Change in size and weight?
So, for the first time in months I bought a box of Special K Chocolate and Raspberry Cereal bars...have they got smaller?? They seem thinner and smaller than they were a couple of months ago. (FYI I'm in Ireland and the bar is now 22g - cannot remember if they were more) They felt like a good portion of a cereal bar…

One year one - noticeable difference?
I have never ever posted pics on these threads, mainly because I can't notice any difference really in my body (even though I know there must be as my clothes all fit better and I'm down a size or two). But this last week made me think about where I've come from. On St.Patrick's day last year my boyfriend of about 5 months…

So recently I've been diagnosed as severely anaemic. I'm taking iron supplements twice a day and B complex vitamins, along with my usual Berocca and starting to eat red meat along with more dark green veg.. However after exercising (usual a minimum of an hour a day six days a week on the treadmill) I've noticed that I'm…
