exercising when anaemic

So recently I've been diagnosed as severely anaemic. I'm taking iron supplements twice a day and B complex vitamins, along with my usual Berocca and starting to eat red meat along with more dark green veg.. However after exercising (usual a minimum of an hour a day six days a week on the treadmill) I've noticed that I'm seriously exhausted and fatigued. My muscles feel drained and it takes a monumental effort to do anything afterwards. so should i ease off on the exercise whilst i build up my iron store or is it just a case of powering through at all costs?
