Tanita Scale --- Standard vs Athletic?
I posted this in the motivation forum, but then I realized it's probably more fitting in this one.. I am super bummed right now. I've been working so hard at the gym every day for a month. I've been eating pretty clean, haven't drank any alcohol, trying to eat more so I can gain some muscle. I felt like I was starting to…

Tanita Scale --- Standard vs Athletic?
I am super bummed right now. I've been working so hard at the gym every day for a month. I've been eating pretty clean, haven't drank any alcohol, trying to eat more so I can gain some muscle. I felt like I was starting to see progress so I asked my trainer if I could get on the scale today and check my progress. SOMEHOW,…

measurements question!
Hey guys, I started lifting weights about six weeks ago. Before that, I only did cardio. Since I've started lifting my weight has gone up about 1lb, my FFM has gone up and my BF% has gone down. Favorite Post Workout Snack/Smoothie?
Just wondering what everyone likes to have for their post-workout meal/snack/smoothie. I've been doing smoothies with lots of protein post-workout, looking for a few more ideas, because they always seem to include nut butters for me. I probably eat too much nut butter :P

Target Heart Rate?
Okay, this may seem like a stupid question. I've googled this, and I'm not entirely sure what my target heart rate for "max fat burning" should be. 60-70% of my max? I've tried the 220 - 27 (my age) formula, and that puts me at 116-135 for fat burning. This seems kind of low...is that just me? Am I miscalculating?!

Hey everyone! I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kelly. I just joined myfitnesspal.. I switched over from livestrong and I am liking MFP so far. I joined because I have lost weight in the past with a healthy lifestyle, now I am looking to tone up and gain some strength. I have cerebral palsy, so fitness and workouts…
