Dreaming of maintenance
Do you think sometimes about how will it be to be in maintenance? 500 cals (more or less) to be eaten every day more than I do now... Sometimes I calculate.... 500 cals... they are 2 glass and a half of my milk and nesquik (I like it with a LOT of nesquik) ... they are about half a pound of ice cream... a big bowl of…

Hi! Please, if you can, some advice for a friend of mine. She is VERY thin. So thin that many people think she is anorexic, but she is not. I personally see how much she eat, she enjoy food and never throws up. She has not thyroid problems, she checked. She was always thin but now she lost some additional weight and also…

Is it really weight lifting the only way to be fit?
Hi, I'm a bit confused... From what I read here, it seems that doing cardio help the weight loss but not the toning of the body... is that right? Many people advise that the loss of weight involve also the muscle mass so at the end of the journey you will be LESS tonic that at the start... even exercising? My questions:…

The awful truth about stuff that makes you feel full...
... is that you can eat a tons of vegs and healthy proteins, and you will be still hungry! :) The problem is.. your brain and stomach actually conspire against you! (at least, against me...) Ok, lets say that your stomach is used to bread and Nutella (big portion!) each snack. Or a big plate of pasta for lunch. Than, you…

Is it true that cheat day...?
A question.. It is really a question, not a claim :) There are people here much more informed than me, so I ask. Sometimes someone tell me that, if you on average have meals of, say, 300-400-500 cals each, your stomach kind of expect the same amount every time. And if, for once, you give it, say, 2000 all in one go, it…

How much does good food cost?
Hi, I was wondering now and then why people complained about the costs of dieting.. Now a new fried wrote that he has to pay 3 dollars for an apple?!?!? Well, I really hope it is not like this everywhere... I live in Italy, and I lived in the UK, and the food is by no means as expensive as that... So, my questions, out of…

A hint of hope from a lazy one (me) no pic sorry!
Hi everybody! If you want to know someone that really really did not have a chance to lose weigth, look at me. I was just entered in the "obese" cathegory, with 80 kg, 158cm (sorry, I'm lazy, don't wanto to translate in inch and pounds :) ), due to stress, lack of activity, a lot of food and sweets. But I couldn't stand…

That sugars...
Ok, I'm with MFP for the cal deficit, no problem there. And I don't obsess with the macros either.. some days it is a bit more proteins, some days carbs, but on the average it is all ok. But sugars... I don't know, MFP set a sugar limit that is SO low! With just fruit and milk I go beyond, if I add just a bit of bread,…

breackfast problems... tips?
I'm on a 1200 Cal daily diet, and I find difficult to organize my breackfast... If I stick to tea and some melba toast (italian, 5 slice 150 Cal) I have plenty of Cal to enjoy lunch and dinner. Otherwise, if I have milk and bisquits or even bread, my breackfast calories raise up to 400-500 Cal unless I stay on such low…

hallo, I'm new :)
Hi everybody, I'm new, I heard of MFP from an US friend. I'm Italian, and it is a bit more triky... :D I wanted to add "fette biscottate" (melba toast, the dictionary tells me), for example, but italian "fette biscottate" are completely different from "melba toast" looking at the calories! :D So I had to be a litle…
