Working out in the cold/snow.
Does anyone have any tips/advice/tricks for staying motivated when you live somewhere cold and snowy? I like being outside when I exercise, but I am finding it very hard to stay motivated. Joining a gym really isn't an option and working out in my living room is kind of hard because of who I live with. Do I just need to…

NSV - armpits :)
I was looking at pictures of myself taken recently and realized that I now actually have armPITS, as in pits under your arms as opposed to lumpy areas filled with fat. I never realized that fat could hide in so many places. :)

NSV that takes work :)
My waist has dropped over 10 inches (and that's just the waist) and I've gone from an 18 to a 12! Needless to say, my clothes (even the newer ones) don't fit. My family bought me a sewing machine for my birthday and today Operation Tailor began. None of my pants stay up. I'm taking inches off clothes I just bought a few…

Motivation needed
So. I have been on MFP since mid-January. I recently turned 30 and hit 50 lbs lost all in the same weekend (I have been hovering within .5 lbs of that since, but refuse to "count it" until I stay there). I am happy that I have come so far, but I also get a little overwhelmed when I think about the 25 lbs or so left to go.…

Weight loss & regularity
I know it's a little gross, but has anyone noticed that changing your diet and exercising has had an impact on your bathroom habits? I have noticed that things have certainly "slowed down" in that department. I only go once every several days now and when I do I tend to have stomach aches. It's generally not fun and sort…

What a difference a year makes (40 lbs down)
It's been 6 months on MFP and 40 lbs are gone. Here are some progress pics. I am just over half way to my goal, but after seeing this new pic I realized just how much my body has actually changed. Sometimes it is hard to see results when you look at yourself every day. The pictures posted on MFP have been a big…

Hand swelling
This may be a weird question, but do anyone's hands swell when they exercise? I went for a "brisk" walk today and about half way through I noticed that my fingers felt like sausages. They were stiff and swollen and stayed that way for the rest of the walk. It was pretty warm out (the mid-high 80s) and I was swinging my…

Back to normal BP
So, about a year ago I went to the dr and found put that my blood pressure was considered too high to be on regular hormonal birth control. I had never had high BP before and was convinced it was nerves...until I tested it several more times and it was still high. The dr told me that I needed to go have a consult to go on…
