I just did day 2. I woke up today and my armpits are sore. Crazy. Anyone else find that they burp while doing the cardio? Weird, right?

So I think I need to get the fancy wicking clothes for when it warms up a little. I fell (hard) on my butt slipping in the snow last week. I don't want to do that again so I think I will probably wait until it warms up a little to brave the outside. In the mean time I just sucked it up and demanded that everyone evacuate…

I'd tell myself that it can be done, but it's going to take a long time. And you can't ever stop trying or go back to how things were because that's what made you fat in the first place. Duh. Looking at old pics now grosses me out. It keeps me from grabbing for that extra cookie (most of the time). Also, I'd probably ask…

There's not really anything you can do to make him change, he has to want it. Maybe seeing you transform and be stronger will help. Maybe it won't. Knowing how I react to pressure, I get more resistant when people try to persuade me to do things, what if you tried to ignore him? Or if you explained that this is about more…

I've lost just over 70lbs and it will be a year in 9 days. Totally possible and realistic. :)

I was bigger for most of high school, but when I graduated in 1999 I was about 175, right where I am now. I've even grown 1/2 an inch since then (I'm 6 feet).

Everyone who sees that I've lost weight asks how I did it. When I tell them that I ate less, ate better and exercised, they almost always make a funny face and look very disappointed that there wasn't some sort of easy secret. I really believe (along with a lot of other people) that the only to make the loss sustainable it…

Doesn't that feel good. All of my adorable coats are now huge on me. Maybe Santa will being me a smaller one. :)

Wow! You look great! Keep it up!

Big like! That's a great story, thanks for sharing.

I'm there. I've only told one friend how much I actually weigh. Now that I weigh less than my dad and brother I think about it, but their expectations/ideas of what a woman should weigh are so different from my goals I don't really want to clue them in. My bf is shorter than me (by two inches) and has never been even a…

That's a LOT of protein. I eat boca products (burgers, chik'n, bacon), trader Joe's meatless meatballs, beans. nuts and tofu for most of my protein. Have you thought about including fish? A lot of fish is really high in protein and low in calories and fat. Even with all this, I don't get even close to that much.

String cheese, popcorn, mini rice cakes, pickles, carrots, strawberries, frozen yogurt

Special K Red Berries Honey Bunches of Oats Cinnamon Toast Crunch Frosted Mini Wheats Golden Puffs Of course, I pretty much only eat the Special K anymore. It's amazing how small 1 serving really is.

Scars and stretch marks fade, plus life is not spent entirely in a bathing suit. It gets better. Everyone has frustrating days. Hang in there.

My stepmom went through that. Be patient with your body. Chemo takes so much out of you. From what I remember, she went through a few months of feeling better, then worse until her strength started to come back (as well as her hair). You've been through a lot, just take it easy and concentrate on enjoying what you are…

I agree with everyone else. I didn't have a romantic date to any dance in HS, but I always had an awesome time. Hanging out with your friends and not getting involved with dating drama really can be the best. It's great when you find that dress that makes you feel fab, but really the whole experience is the most important…

I hear you. Where did all this stupid skin come from? I almost feel like I looked better before because at least my skin fit. I know in reality I am in much better shape and all that, but the vanity sure takes a hit. I have not been small EVER, but I didn't expect that the difference was extreme enough to feel so saggy. I…

I think friends help a lot. Looking at what other people eat and do for exercise is inspiring, plus seeing them kick butt reminds me that I need to get up and move. :) After seeing real results after a few months of MFP, several of my friends and family joined too. Slowly though, they all started losing motivation and…

I have lost much of my motivation too. I don't know if it is the weather or what, but I have no interest in exercising. At all. Maybe you need a workout buddy? I think that would help.

I'm 6'0" and I'm shooting for 175. After that I can re-evaluate if need be. When I was in HS I was very active, ate really well and never got below that. Since then, the only times I have been able to lose weight have been when I was sick. I decided that with MFP I was going to really commit and focus on not depriving, but…

Hah! I didn't think about it, but you are right. That's me getting tough with the fat.

Yeah, maybe I should just drink more water. I struggle with that because I really don't like water. Weird, I know, but it just does nothing for me. Since it's hot now, maybe I will crave more water too.
-
I eat lots of fiber (love veggies) and have increased my fluid intake. Maybe my body just needs time to adjust? It's been 6 months though.

What about adding some fat free cream cheese to change up the flavor/consistency? I like the other suggestions too, add veggies or add to a dog or burger to make it a topping. Yum, chili!

Your BP can also fluctuate several points in just a few minutes, depending on what you are doing, what you ate, stress, whatever. I get nervous at doctor's offices and so they take my BP when I get there and after I've been there for a bit and it can go down 10 points in that time. Take it again on your next few trips to…

YAY! Thanks! It's at Donner Lake in Truckee.

Hmmm, I posted it on flicker at the address I pasted above, but it is not showing up. I'll keep trying.

Hmm, I can't see the pic, but I guess you can? http://www.flickr.com/photos/64094991@N04/5836107753/in/photostream/
