Technical problems with Fitness Pal
I want my daily calorie goal to be 1200. I went into My Home > Goals and it is set as 1200, but on the home page it always says 1340 for some reason. Can someone explain what I am doing wrong? Thanks!

Fitbit accuracy
I have one of the basic Fitbits, no heart rate monitor. I have not used it much, but linked it with Fitness Pal because I want to see how many calories I am (approximately) burning doing my regular walks and workouts and if I have been estimating correctly. So far I have been on a 20-minute walk (1.2 km) and it has logged…

Basal Metabolic Rate?
Hello, I have been on my diet for almost a month and am very gradually losing weight. I am 170 cm tall and currently weigh 84.5 kg. I currently have 1200 calories a day and eat back all exercise calories. I have read online that you should not go below your basal metabolic weight as otherwise it will slow down your…

Weightlifting neck problems
I have been doing Bodypump for about six months now and have been gradually increasing the weights. I reduced the weights again, especially the…

I am on levothyroxine - does this mean my metabolism is "normal" or will it be slower than the average person? Does anyone here have any experience/ knowledge of the disease and the best way to handle weight loss? Should I be…

Wristband calorie counter?
I was considering getting the Fitbit flex until I realised it's just a pedometer. I do kickboxing-style exercise mainly rather than walking/jogging, so am not sure if this is right for me. I would really like a wristband I can wear all day and forget about which will tell me how many calories I have burned. Does such a…

Aerobic exercise + sore muscles
I went to a weight-lifting class for the first time yesterday and my leg muscles are aching now - quite badly but not due to an injury, just a new type of exercise. I was going to go to an intense aerobic exercise class tonight but I am wondering if I should have a rest day instead?
