Weight loss psychology - exercice points
I'm relatively new to using exercice points, even though I've been exercising for years. I find I'm using these points in weird ways - or maybe the psychology of weight loss/exercise evades me. -I dipped into the chocolate jar today. Normally, I would feel devastated and EAT MORE. But I looked at the exercice I needed to…

Protein - lots and lots of it
I usually have very high protein numbers. I read that too much protein can blow up your liver - or something similar. Are there MFP members who have lots and lots of protein every day and are feeling fine? I'm 52, weigh around 130, 5'5'', and eat more than 100 grams per day. I'm not on low carb, I just love protein.

Sugar - too sweet for my heart?
My usual binges are fat + sugar + carbs. The other night, I went a different route : sugar + carbs. Well, I got heart palpitations just like I get from my usual binges (a few times a month, I'm afraid). I thought it was just the fat that made my heart speed up like a race car, but it looks like sugar could have the same…

Exercice calories - do they help?
I'm 52, 5'5, about 130 pounds. Stopped weighing myself for a while. I've been exercising for a very long time, but only recently joined a gym, and now I exercice harder. I used to never count exercice calories. Now that I do (I cheat, and use less than the luxurious numbers from MFP) I'm less hungry, and the occasional…

Looking for female friends 50 & up
Well, I'm realizing the social aspect of MFP can be helpful - and fun! Looking for women my age. I'm 51, 5'5, 130 pounds. I exercice regularly. I'm on a low cal diet (most days). I'm in maintenance, but would like to lose 5 pounds, just because I would like to have a cushion, just in case. As I get older, I'm realising…

(50+) 1400 calories + new gym pass = weight gain
I was doing pretty well on 1200 calories a day, almost back to the weight I wanted to be (I'm 51, 5'5, about 130 pounds). Started going to the gym. Did not eat back all those luxurious points MFP gave me - and glad I didn't, because now I'm almost back to where I was before I started on the 1200 calories. So I'm assuming…

1200 is really low
I started going to the gym and find that 1200 calories... well, I just can't seem to stay that low. Wondering if I should just adjust my numbers, perhaps to 1300. I never counted the exercice calories - my exercice routine was rather mild. Wondering if I should start counting exercice or not.

1200 calories during menopause
I'll soon be 52. After years of WW, I got tired of eating all the time, so I switched to Atkins for about a year and gained 8 pounds. So I'm trying low cal. So far so good. I play around with numbers - 1180, 1235, 1280, depending on my mood. Sometimes I feel that if the number is too high, I'll overeat. I think the exact…
