Appetite
About 2 months ago I started doubling up my exercise, a mix of spinning, weight training, general cardio and I noticed a small appetite increase which I covered in my macros. I then dabbled in some german volume training for weights 10 sets of 10 reps when doing weights again a slight increase in appetite. Now I've…

Best HRM
What is regarded as the best HRM, I've started crossfit and I box as well (mixture of cardio / sparring) and I'm currently using the FT4 but if there is anything better for these sort of activities?

I did my onramp yesterday and started today with my first session which was mainly form with a workout at the end. 3 Reps: 5 Chin Ups (green band) 10 Snatch Squats (9kg medicine ball) 20 Box Jumps (stepped up) I did 9.39 which is probably rubbish but still. Macros - Good and Bad Fats
If I need to hit 70g Fats a day on my Macros what a good ratio of good to bad fats? I presume from a weight loss perspective it makes no difference but from a health point of view 70g of fats that came from bad sources (meat, dairy etc) would effect my cholesterol?

Adding cardio and eating back calories
Hi All, I'm currently working off of a 2000 calorie a day cut and losing 1 to 2 lbs a week which I'm happy with. I currently do 1 or 2 cardio trips to the gym a week, 3 weight sessions and 1 or 2 low intensity trips (basically I do 6 trips to the gym a week). Q1. If I want to start doing Spin classes 1 or 2 a week without…

Weight soaring after cheat day
Hi All, Why after a cheat day does my weight sky rocket? I know its not permanent but is it water weight or something else? For example Monday I had hot dog and sweet potato fries for lunch, ice cream, brazilian bbq for dinner and a cake (lots of extra calories - it was my lads birthday so we went out for the day). Now the…

Fat Loss Zone vs Cardio Zone (HRM + Calories)
So I've read that if your in your the fat loss zone it shrinks your fat cells but if your in your cardio zone it improves your aerobic ability. Is this correct? If it is what actually is the difference from burning 600 calories in your fat loss zone compared to 600 calories in your cardio zone? Surely that equates to the…

Heart Rate Monitor (Polar RT4)
I've just purchased the Polar RT4. I wanted a starter product to measure my heart rate and I'm impressed. I have a couple of questions though that hopefully someone can help with. 1) When weight training and measuring your heartbeat should you try and keep your heart beat in the fat burning zone or does that not matter? 2)…

Tanita Scales
In the last couple of weeks using my Tanita body scales I've noticed my bone mass readings have gone from a steady 7.4 to 7.0. Does anyone know why this would happen, I am in the period of losing weight but through my whole process so far (11 months) I've not had any bone mass changes until now.

Weight gain whilst cutting
I'm using macros to cut and have literally (last two weeks) started on the weights. Now on Tanita scales my weight is showing the same but my muscle is up for 4 or 5 lbs. Does this mean I've lost FAT and gained Muscle or has nothing really changed but the muscle is larger through more usage? Thanks, Paul
