Struggling and I really want to do well at this challenge
I am starting a challenge at my gym and I really want to do well... But lately I cannot find the motivation to eat well and stay under my calorie limit. I have problems with craving junk food and things like bread. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Regularity
I've noticed that when I eat too healthy and high in fiber I am not regular the next day. Whereas when I eat junk food I have no problems.

So you can't spot reduce...
But what does working different muscle groups do? Don't you build muscle which takes up less space? Or in the case that you aren't changing your diet, would you just build muscle on top of fat with an actual increase in volume?

Midnight snacking

Affirmations and positive thinking
I often catch myself saying "oh eating right is sooooo hard" and I try to shift my thinking to "I can do this" or "it's easy" Do you guys have any affirmations you use to shift your thinking?

I'm hungry unless I eat around 2000 calories a day
My TDEE is around 2500. I exercise every day. Technically I'm supposed to lose weight on 2000 calories. Do you think I will? Do you have a similar experience?
