Found running through recovery from brain injury.
Hi all! I just wanted to make a first post here and say hello. After a brain injury nearly two years ago, I was unable to exercise for quite some time and ended up gaining a lot of weight. I'm thankful to say I'm well on the road to physical recovery even though my brain function is still a bit wonky at times. 6 months ago…

I'm hitting my goals and ready for the home stretch!
I set out to start dropping weight around the end of September 2013. My initial goal was to hit 190 lbs (Starting at somewhere between 235-245, I don't really know) by June 30, 2014. Double NSV! Pants and weight!
I'm pretty excited this morning, I hit a couple new "lows" that feel pretty important to me. 1) For the last couple years, my "Go to" pants (the ones that fit me most comfortably) have had a 40 inch waist. They were slightly loose, so I'll say maybe I was a 39, I don't really know. I've continued to wear them out of habit…

Challenge: Carry the weight you've lost for an hour.
I have a 27 lb dumbbell that I use for workouts. I realized yesterday that I have lost exactly that much since I started dropping pounds. For that, I say, HOORAH! So, I let everyone in the family lift it and feel for themselves how much it really is. Surprising really, how much extra we carry around and become accustomed…
