Anyone know if there's a big UK group here?
I tried the "Search groups" function but the results aren't sortable and most of the general UK groups I looked at were nearly or completely empty. Is there a good, busy UK group I can join to get UK-specific advice?

Website improved gender stuff when asked!
Hello all, :) I'm a member here and I mostly lurk but I just thought I'd pop in and let know know that TrendWeight.com changed their gender stuff when emailed them about it. I signed up and I was forced to choose either male or female to continue - I'm nonbinary so that wasn't going to work, so I emailed support and…

I started a pronoun discussion in the main suggestions bit...
... and I have MFP's support and intention to include neutral pronouns one day. :) Thought you'd all like to know! Linky link

Proof that weighing daily is confusing unless you look at the big picture. (Spreadsheet!)
I've been losing weight pretty consistently for a few weeks with a combination of calorie-tracking and my Fitbit. According to MFP and Fitbit I'm eating at maintenance and don't really have a calorie deficit on average, but I'm losing about .25 kg per week. My start weight was 62 kg and my goal weight is... uncertain, but…

Anyone else here with v low deficit?
Hai. :) So I have found that my comfortable deficit is 100-200 calories per day. I mean, along the lines of "the best diet is the one you can maintain" - that's what I can maintain. This weight loss calculator (http://www.caloriesperhour.com/index_loss.php) says that if I have a deficit of 100 calories per day I'll have…

Strength training and calories
After a couple of big surgeries I'm dabbling in weights again, and I'm having a go at entering the exercises into MFP to see what happens. As far as I can see, it's not counting calories from it: And it's not showing up on my Fitbit exercise log either. (That's fair enough; Fitbit counts calories by time spent doing some…

Confused but pleased that this weight loss thing has apparently worked!
My body seems to be happiest at about 60kg, and I was 63kg after moving to live near a friend who cooks lots of oily food for me. 3kg probably doesn't seem like a lot, but my body felt really different and I wasn't keen on the feeling, so I decided to get really accurate about my food intake, and learn about macronutrients…

I bought weights. Why so small?
Hey all. :) I've had CFS for 6 years and I'm hoping to get some strength back. I'm pretty new to weights and basically have no idea what I'm doing but I have a noob question. I bought some weights. These ones, to be exact: http://www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-hand-weights/p167547 I got two of each size, from 2x0.5kg to…

Calories remaining going down mysteriously?
Ello. :) So for the past couple of days my calories remaining has been acting weird. I wear a Fitbit and I log my food and stuff. I know that when my Fitbit syncs my calories remaining sometimes goes up, and when I log food my calories remaining goes down. Today is fairly typical for the last few days, I think. I ate and…

Is it bad to work out when...
I am very very new to this whole physical fitness thing. I'm trying out a new morning exercise routine, and yesterday I did it without warming up. Today I am achy because of that. Is it a bad idea to work out if you're achy after not warming up the day before? Regardless of your answer, why? Thanks!

Asking MFP for genderthings
Hey! I've been on MFP for ages and only just found out there are groups, heheh. :) So it really bugs me that they offer two gender options at sign up. I'm nonbinary, I picked the gender closest to my hormone levels because I figure hormones are relevant to various MFP calculations, and now the site is calling me "she/her"…
