Confused but pleased that this weight loss thing has apparently worked!

My body seems to be happiest at about 60kg, and I was 63kg after moving to live near a friend who cooks lots of oily food for me. 3kg probably doesn't seem like a lot, but my body felt really different and I wasn't keen on the feeling, so I decided to get really accurate about my food intake, and learn about macronutrients so I could make sure I'm getting enough protein (I'm vegetarian).

My deficit aim is 150kcal per day, but it's usually more like 50kcal. At least I was getting more like my proper protein amount. At that rate I was expecting to take 6-12 months to get back to 60kg. But this morning (3 months after I started counting calories) I weighed myself and I'm 60.1kg.

This weight loss thing is so bizarre! How odd that something silly like eating different foods can have that kind of effect over a couple of months!

I'd post photos but they're really dull. The amount I lost is so small that you can only really tell the difference if you look really carefully. The real difference is going to be when I start getting fitter - I've got CFS so I'm pretty much a weedling, and I want to get stronger and leaner.

That's great...but don't be surprised by fluctuations. Honestly, 3 kg is about 6 Lbs...I was entire 5 Lbs heavier yesterday than I am today simply with natural body weight fluctuations. Just don't be shocked if you see it bounce around.

My weight doesn't bounce around very much at all. Mayyyyybe .5kg in a day? I don't know why there's not much fluctuation. Maybe it's just because I'm pretty slim to begin with. But yeah, I am prepared for fluctuations. :) I don't weigh myself every day any more, I'm very much an overall trends kind of measurer.

    Edit: missing words.
