Hiatus
Hi all. I took a little time off of MFP, but now I'm on and back on track.

Almost there!
I never thought that I'd be a success story. How you can be a success story too: 1. Watch those calories! Sure, I had cheating days, but always went back to watch the calories. 2. Exercise. Like our doctors have told us, diet and exercise go hand in hand. 3. Eat healthy food. No fried nor fast food. Those french fries…

How's your New Year's shaping up?
I'm doing well now. I had a rocky start, and a stumble on Friday, but now I'm sticking to it, and have said goodbye to the holiday pounds. I'm back to where I started at the beginning of December, and hope to report a weight loss this week.

Kicks all around
Now that Christmas is over, and the parties are dwindling down, it's time to get back into our calorie counting routine. So, I'm giving myself a kick in the butt to take a look at what I've been eating. Here are my resolutions for 2013 to continue or improve: Breakfast: This should be the biggest meal of the day, and…

Salad 101
I'm a big fan of salads, although sometimes I wander away from eating them. Here's a few tips on salads: Lettuce Try to buy the darkest greens, as they have better nutrition. I can't call myself a success story - yet. But I can tell you that it feels so good to: 1. Have to hitch up your pants every time you stand up. 2. Not to feel your stomach when you bend over 3. Feel so much stronger (due to exercise) YOU can do this, too! Don't give up. Anything worth having is worth working for it.

Tips
Here's my tips of the week: 1. Make sure you eat. Skipping a meal doesn't get you anywhere. Remember, slow always wins the race. 2. Treat your body well. Make good choices what fuel you're using for energy. 3. Move your body. Do what you can, even if that just means stretching. The more you move, the easier it is to…

Reminder
Don't forget to change your diary to public, so I can peak at what you're eating and what exercise you're doing. Thanks!

Plateau :(
In 10 days I lost 6 lbs, but for the last three: nothing! How long do plateaus last?

I surprise myself!
I had two options for tonight: 1. Go to a friend's house for dinner (and probably dessert). No exercising today. 2. Go to the gym and continue to follow my diet. I've got to be sick - I took choice 2. Wow!

10 days in...
Although I can't call myself a success since I've only been doing this for 10 days (and I've got lots of pounds to go), I can say that myfitnesspal does work. So far, I've lost 6 lbs. I combine following this with working out 5x a week. Personally, I don't understand why I like working out so much. For me, the more I do…
