Getting back in the saddle....!
Hello fitness pallers! I kind of want to kick myself, as I lost so much weight, then went from an active job in hospitality to a sedentary office job. I was working nights in hospitality, so I do feel so much better working days, but I've also become very lazy in comparison to how I was. Sadly, I've put back on about half…

Losing weight/toning up without the tummy sag! Heeeeeelp
Hello and happy 2017! I was feeling initially happy last October (2016) after having lost about 95 lbs over 2.5 years and probably got a bit carried away with diet shakes (terrible and full of sugar, I know) and just sometimes not eating to speed up the weight loss. I was working nights for a long time and didn't have much…

Under 200 lbs at last!
Just had to share my surprise and delight that I am finally under 200 lbs. This was my next mini-goal to myself. I started my MFP journey at 286 and have now lost 91lbs. Still have a way to go (and several more lbs to lose) but I am now less than 50lbs to my goal weight, yippee! Never thought this day would come. Good luck…

The weird feeling you're disappearing (in a good way)....
Hiya Just wondered if anyone else has experienced or is experiencing this. It's so odd, my brain can't adapt to the smaller version of me. I will go to put my hands my my sides and my sides will not be there. I am literally clutching at thin air. It is such a strange sensation. Do you get used to it? Will it take as long…

Getting used to a different you?
Hello. Just wondering if anyone else has been really happy about losing weight but also unable to quite realise it? The sense of sometimes still feeling like a much bigger person is strange. I have lost 5 stone now, over 2 years. I see myself in a mirror and it sort of fills me with disbelief. My brain can't adjust to how…

5 1/2 stone lost
At a point I never thought I would be but it feels good, and it feels even better to think that my goal of being healthy and no longer overweight is now not such a distant dream but getting closer each week. Still a long way to go, but over halfway there now, hooray! Never give up and remember all the little losses and bit…

Never lose hope. You can do it. (5 stone lost-hooray!)
When I started MFP back in Spring 2014 I was just hoping to lose anything at all in a bid to improve my health. I was very unfit, partly due to a bad knee injury, and had got into bad eating habits. Ironically I often wasn't eating enough which I think really messed up my metabolism. I think it is all too easy to fall into…

The half way point...
A few lbs ago I got to what was probably the half way (half weigh?) point. From 288 lbs to 218 lbs. I have done it pretty slowly, because I wanted my body to have time to adjust and also because I have to try and stay balanced as if I get too worried about losing weight, I tend not to eat properly and I've been really…

Healthy weight depending on build?
Hi I am part-way through my fitness/weight-loss journey. I have now lost 60+ lbs but still plenty more to lose. Having been overweight for many years, I have not been a medically healthy weight so I am unsure where to set my goal. I have based it on getting to a healthy BMI. Is this a good plan? Health websites seem to…

Weights/exercise to tone/streamline without bulking up? (Female losing weight).
So I'm probably not the first to ask this, but I'd be really grateful for exercise advice with a view to toning up but not bulking up. I think I was once told that lower weights and more reps would tone without bulking- is this correct? I'm in the process of losing a lot of weight and have nightmares of ending up losing…

No room for treats at all.... (gain, sigh...!)
Does anyone else find that if they have even 1 day of eating unhealthy foods, they have a gain? I have put on 4 lbs in a week. Had a bad day this week eating cakes and a jacket potato loaded with butter and cheese. Also had a few chocolate biscuits during the week. Felt like I'd had an okay day today but haven't had chance…

35 lbs lost in a year! Slow and steady.
Just wanted to say, that some weight loss is slower but it is still weight lost and reduced risk of of weight-related illness. My focus is my health and it's now quite a bit better. I am also no longer morbidly obese, something I haven't been for years now! I hope this will inspire others that have a lot to lose and busy…

How much protein...?
Okay, so I have read that the reference intake for an adult woman for protein is 46-50g, but I've also read that you need 0.8g of protein per kg of body weight. I am currently way overweight, so MFP has given me a really high protein target, which I often struggle to meet? Do you think it's okay so long as I get above…

SALT- Questions...
Hello Fitnesspallers, 1) I just wanted to know, if anyone knows why the daily salt allowance doesn't go up when you earn exercise calories? I go over, often wayyyy over, on the salt. I eat pretty healthily, but I love adding salt to food, especially pastas and salads. I also love tomato juice, but it's sooo salty- a few…

Can't balance my nutrition- please help!
Hello Fitnesspal people, I am a newbie here and I was hoping some of you might have some advice on balancing my nutrition. I keep ending up in the red minus numbers for carbs, fat and sugar, but still way in the green on calories and protein. All the proteins I eat seem to be high in sugar and carbs! (Alpro fruit yoghurts,…
