Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds 'Ultimate Collection"
I just picked up this DVD from Target and did the '1 Mile Get Up & Get Started'. It was challenging with the weights, but very doable. Am I supposed to keep going and do the 2 mile right afterwards, or build up to it by repeating the first one a lot? I'm confused, lol. Also, how on earth do you log this in your exercise…

3+ year old McDonald's burger & fries.
I just wanted to spread this video, it's pretty disturbing. I'm sure most of the users on MFP know that fast food isn't healthy, but this is a good example of just HOW gross it really is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IGtDPG4UfI The video is at that YouTube link. If you don't want to watch the whole video, they start to…

Going over on fat!
Two avocados cause me to go over on my daily amount of fat. Since it's 'healthy fat', is it okay to eat more throughout the day? I had guacamole for lunch and had 2 avocados and I don't know if I can avoid any type of fat for dinner or a snack. I'll try, but I'm not sure if it's possible.

Skinny *****
Has anyone else read the book 'Skinny B*tch' ? I absolutely loved it. It made me realize what exactly what in all of the food I used to eat. http://www.skinny*****.net/buy.html is the book's website. It's very blunt (obviously, you can tell from the title alone) but it really put things into perspective for me. It does…

I need vegetarian protein!
I'm vegetarian and in dire need of more protein in my diet. I don't really like processed veggie meals like Morningstar or Boca. I lean toward a more 'raw diet' way of thinking, but I don't eat 100% raw by any means. Any ideas? I'm at a loss. I know raw almonds have protein and I eat those quite often. Help?

Hello! Newbie 27yr old, 130 lbs from Chicagoland.
It's about time I introduced myself to the community I suppose :-) I'm a 27 year old female, 5'2", 130 lbs. I have never really worked out in my entire life until very recently. I'm on the small side but I suspect I have a high % of bodyfat. I gain most of my weight in my stomach & hips, much to my dismay. I just bought a…

Working out for spinal fusion patients
Hello, I had one level (L4/5) spinal fusion surgery on November 3rd '09. I have 2 titanium screws & a rod in my spine now. I'm recovering nicely, seeing a physical therapist and want to burn fat & build muscle. I have approval from my doctor & PT to use the stationary bike, treadmill, and do other basic core…
