Going over on fat!

Two avocados cause me to go over on my daily amount of fat. Since it's 'healthy fat', is it okay to eat more throughout the day? I had guacamole for lunch and had 2 avocados and I don't know if I can avoid any type of fat for dinner or a snack. I'll try, but I'm not sure if it's possible.

for me when it is avocado or EVOO i dont necessarily count it...now if i am eating 2 pieces of fried chicken (which i wouldnt do) then i would count it and be concerned.

I've been waiting to see if anyone had an answer for you...poo. :grumble:

I'm pretty sure the fats you eat are SUPPOSED to be the "good fats"...so going over is going over. I know on days I go over on fats because of an avocado or almonds, I don't feel as bad for going over though!

noseovertall: I was over yesterday because I sliced an avocado in the afternoon with some lime juice & sea salt ( a favorite "hunger killer" for me). I have decided, as you have, not to worry too much IF that is why I am over my fat limit. I will just try today to stay within the fat limit. I will tell you that my HDL (good) cholesterol has always been VERY high and that my doctor is always thrilled with that. I think it is because of the "good" fat, like avocado... and lots of other fruits & vegies....SO....I would say, keep it up, within reason. We are all supposed to get more Omega 3 fat than we do in a typical western diet. Any nutritionists out there?????
  • I don't have an appointment with my doctor scheduled or I'd ask him his opinion. I wish a nutritionist would see this and answer for us :)
