Exercising and eating well but not losing lbs

So I have been told that you always need to eat above your BMR. I weigh 193 and am 5'10". I calculated my BMR and it is apparently 1738.95. MFP has recommended a daily calorie allowance of 1420. Gaining weight after being under calorie goal and exercising
I don't understand... For the last 12 days I have been under my calorie goal and have gone to the gym 8 times... I have been eating salads and I have basically cut all processed food from my diet. How many calories is too low?
I weigh 185 pounds and I am a 5'10" 18 year old girl. I on average take in about 1320 calories a day. Do you think this is a good amount for weight loss or should I take in more or less? I am very new to calorie counting so I am still figuring out my ideal levels. I also exercise 4 times a week for 40 minutes.
