May Book
Hi everyone! My travels are over for now. If you haven't decided on a book yet, how about Deep South by Nevada Barr?
-
April Book
We have been thinking about reading Robin Cook - either Death Benefit or Nano. Do we have a vote?
-
February Book?
Hi, everyone. I'm just wondering if anyone is interested in continuing another month. It's OK with me if no one wants to continue, but I don't want to just fade away without checking in; I guess I like closure. My observation about this group is that we aren't really reading the books together and we are not connecting. I…

Obesity Experts are Fat?
I found this on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3I02aVkdi_M&feature=youtu.be It shows a variety of obesity experts and asks, who would you take advice from? Do you think this is a fair representation of meat eaters versus vegetarians?

Anubis Gates: Discussion
This is a good, quick read. I'm about 3/4 finished. I like the descriptive detail and cleverness of the story. It was definitely worth the $13.

Need help with a math problem
I know someone in our group can help me. I'm in a challenge that is restricted to 5 members each team. Two teams have 6 members. How do I mathematically make the participation of 6 members be equal to the participation of 5 members? We are comparing calories burned. 100 calories equals 1 mile of walking.

What to do about friends?
I don't want to be rude - but I have MFP friends that have not logged in for weeks and even months. If I delete them as friends, do they get a message saying they were dropped? I don't want to make anyone feel bad; I'm just trying to keep friends that are as motivated as I am. Have you ever deleted a friend?

Smarter than your boss?
Who here is more knowledgeable than your supervisor about your field? I have had to train my last 3 supervisors and spend time making them look good so they can take the credit. How are you handling it?

slow movement resistance training
Has anyone heard about slow movement exercise? It's a form of resistance training where you do reps super slow and you supposedly get a complete workout in 30 minutes once a week. I would be interested if anyone has tried this, or if you know anything about its effectiveness. Maybe its just a new fad?

Nutrition labels?
Has it ever occurred to you that a "nutrition" label on a candy bar is an oxymoron? Where is the nutrition? We should have a new way of packaging food to distinguish between what is real nutrition for our bodies versus things that are edible, but not really food. I really believe children, especially, could benefit from a…
