Coconut Oil results?
Hi everyone, I am starting to incorporate extra virgin coconut oil into my diet. I used it a bit to cook and put a little in my coffee so far. I would like some feedback as to if it has really worked for anyone in flattening the stomach a bit, or in any other ways. Also, what results can I expect to see? Wondering if it's…

Does anyone know.. Ruby Tuesday "Petite Plates"
Hi everyone, Does anyone know.. the "petite lunch plates" at Ruby Tuesday, they list the calories (374 for the chicken fresco I had today) and each plate says (at the top) that it comes with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Does that mean that the entire plate is only 374 calories? I'm just not sure and the nutrition menu…

FitBit- worth it if you are already motivated?
Hi friends, I keep thinking about getting a Fitbit, but since I am already fairly motivated to get fit and am having success, I wonder if it would be worth getting. I don't want to get obsessive about tracking every tiny detail. What do you all use it for exactly, when you are already exercising, tracking your food, etc.?

ab friendly foods
Hi everyone, I have done some research on what foods are best to help flatten the stomach, and just finished reading "the abs diet" which had a lot of good info. I am just wondering what foods you have integrated into your diet that seem to havebeen helping flatten your stomach. Please share!

bummed about medicine that lowers my heart rate
Hi everyone, I am feeling super discouraged today. I started medicine this week that is commonly given to lower blood pressure. My blood pressure is perfect, but my doc wants me to try it to prevent migraines. Now I have had migraines, untreated, for years, and have been suffering. You would think I would be thrilled. But…

Fat free milk
I have been drinking organic fat free milk, however I noticed that it has a ton of sugar (12 g per serving). I've heard that sometimes it can be better to eat the full fat versions of things vs the low fat ones, but I can't do full fat milk, it's just too gross too much for me. What kind of milk do you all drink?

Spider Veins
Hi friends, I have a cluster of unbelievably ugly spider veins on the back of my right calf. I feel so embarrassed to show my legs without stockings. I have had this since I can remember, and I am only 30. They do run in my family. Has anyone had success with any creams or other remedies in fading spider veins? I am not…

Using Polar's OwnIndex, and confused.
Hi everyone. I got a new HRM and it is the Polar FT40. I did the resting fitness test and it assigned me an OwnIndex (something akin to the v02max I believe) number. Mine is 35. It says I am "moderately fit". This number is now incorporated into my user settings. Since I have done this, I notice that I am showing less of a…

How to log strength training?
I'm wondering how to log my strength training. I was trying to add the sets/reps but many of the exercises are not in the database. I know it's not the same as cardio so I am not relying on the heart rate monitor. Should I just log it as something similar (pilates??) I am doing about 30 mins of ab exercises as well as arm…

Accuracy of heart rate monitors?
Hey all.. I bought the New Balance N4 HRM and really like it. However, I'm wondering about the accuracy of "calories burned" for certain activities. I heard that HRM's aren't really accurate for calories burned when you aren't doing true cardio exercise (i.e., strength training).. something to do with it not being based…

Supplements & other help foods
I'm wondering if anyone has tried incorporating any foods or supplements (natural good stuff, not diet drugs) that have helped them get an extra boost in energy, weight loss, etc. I hear Dr. Oz and others talk about chia seeds and flax. Are you all using those? I am just starting to incorporate these. I also make sure I…

Pay Yourself to Work Out!
Here is something I came up with that has been super motivating. I have been paying myself $5 every time I workout. When I want to buy something that is not a necessity (including clothes, shoes, etc. unless it is something I absolutely need for work), I have to use the money I accumulate through exercise. This has helped…
