Supplements & other help foods

I'm wondering if anyone has tried incorporating any foods or supplements (natural good stuff, not diet drugs) that have helped them get an extra boost in energy, weight loss, etc.

I hear Dr. Oz and others talk about chia seeds and flax. Are you all using those? I am just starting to incorporate these. I also make sure I take my vitamins (love the gummies) and an omega-3 supplement, as well as fiber. I'm also starting to incorporate whey protein into fruit smoothies.

I have found that bee pollen capsules seemed to help me initially (they naturally control your appetite). Also the occasional apple cider vinegar for sinus issues and general well-being.

Ok, I am starting to sound like a witch doctor. Anyone else have experience with these?

Try a low-dose B-Complex for energy - helps the body release energy from stores. If you don't notice a difference the first day you take it then you're probably getting enough from your food.
  • I agree, the b complex really helps me! Has anyone figured out how to enter your vitamins into the diary? I for one do not get allot of fruits and veggies into my diet so my nutrition percentages always look bad. But that is why I take really good supplements. just wondering why I cannot log them into my food diary.

I take my multi vitamin/mineral supplement each day of course... but I also take ground flax each day to help raise my good cholesterol. I also take a vutamin B 50 complex which is suppose to give a boost so the pharacist says ... it says on the bottle... "helps the body to metabolise carbs, fats & proteins." I do know it makes your pee neon yellow lol.
All I know is my bloodworks good n I have energy like I never have had... but hey compared to what I use to weigh before... is there any wonder lol.

I've never tried chia seeds but I do have few friends that use it in their smoothies, any drinks, hot cereals & yogurts. I have used flaxseed meal and it worked for me. It helped by keeping full till my next meal and gave energy, it also has fiber and omega fats which eliminates fish oil capsules (yuck lol). I used flaxseed meal in the same things above (smoothies, yogurt, hot cereals).

I've never heard of bee pollen capsules but I do eat alot of water-based fruits (melons) to control my appetite and keep me full til the next meal.

& I've only taken apple cider vinegar for detoxing/cleansing purposes. :)
