JACKIE!!! Oh no!!! A white blob behind your weatherman in MY direction! Say it's not so! Jill and I went for a long, long walk this morning. It was nippy, FROST on the pumpkins at 7 am, but lovely and bracing. I've worn us both out, she's snoozing on the sofa, and I'm trying to stay awake! Things to do. Must stay awake for this evening because I think me and all of Ontario will be watching what you guys south of our border are up to.
What are we all going to do for entertainment now all the shouting is done?

Who says the shouting will die down????3

Happy Tuesday!! Well, it has arrived the day we vote for the next US President!! With all the bashing and terrible things people say to each other no matter who wins they will continue to bash one another blaming each other. I have a rule to never discuss politics or religion, it is much easier that way and my views are my own. I will vote because it is my right, I just pray that I am making the right choice.
Marie, I am so sorry you had a bad mixed up day at the doctor's office. At least you got to go for a nice lunch with Alice on your birthday. One Day at a Time, things will improve.
Lin, I'm with you, who says the shouting will stop? I am ready to unfriend good friends with all the bashing they do against their opposing candidate. I can guarantee they will keep it up no matter who gets elected. They will call fraud and every other other vial things they have been doing. Why can't we just all get along????
Jackie, our weather here has been so spring like, it is hard to believe it is November. I hope we don't hit hard when that white stuff starts falling. I think George would be adorable in those pants, although I did not check out the price. lol
Anne, Jilly is so good for your health. Did you used to walk alone when you didn't have her or is she what is keeping you so healthy?
Tomorrow I have to be at Robby's by 8 AM so I hope to go to bed early.
Have a good day and if in America.......

Oh Sandy, I so agree. I have many friends here whom I dearly love, and no matter who wins, I will continue to care about them because we do not discuss politics! Most of us respect our differences, and following the Golden Rule, we remain "family".
I heard a commentator say, yesterday, disliking the views of the person running for office does not mean we dislike the followers. We all believe we want the best for our country, and are probably all fed up with the gridlock, and we all would like to find the answers to how to become functional again! We MUST get back to finding solutions that work for all!
Good luck, world!
Buzz3 -
Good luck to all who have to vote tonight! I don't discuss politics or religion either, you can never win in those discussions which usually become debates.
Have a good evening.

Good evening, nice long day. Busy avoiding anything pertaining to elections. Thank goodness for DVDs and Netflix.
Have a bit of a stomach ache so am going to take it easy for the rest of the evening. Hugs.

Long day! Dentist wants me to take antibiotics and see if my achy tooth gets better. I'm for that! Better than a numb mouth.
Sandy, I see your point but I must admit I am loving the passion this election year has shown. Imagine how it feels for someone who has Never seen a line when I've voted. It's amazing! Apathy has taken a back seat, people Want to make a difference. I love it.
Marie, sorry it all got messed up. Hope you can wait for your new appointment.
Jackie, the cold must go thru your continent before it gets to ours, lol... I really don't have a clue. I'm glad it isn't that cold here yet. I wish I could walk Honey like you and Anne, braving all weathers. Me, the wimp.
I bought a Keurig today. Marked down. Hope it works. I've been wishy-washy about getting one. A new garbage can. What fun. Sigh. Now it's time to relax. We're back to work in the morning.

I'm going to sleep! I clearly remember going to bed certain Dewey had won, and waking up to the new President Truman! I just hope whoever wins can recall what it's like to care about US and our beautiful country, and have respect for everyone! To a better future, everyone!

Democracy has spoken whatever one might think of the result so I wish my American friends well as I'm sure you're all up to the challenges ahead.
Anne ~ I'll keep eyes glued to the weather map left of the presenter's shoulder and let you know if that white blob moves!
Phoebe ~ Our little island is susceptible to weather from all directions so we never know what might hit us next but certainly I think we're too close to the Arctic for comfort this time of year!! Climate change and melting ice aren't a great alternative though so I won't complain, well not too much anyway!
A slow start for me because I'm still feeling the effects of yesterday's strenuous yoga class but the sun is beginning to show itself so I'll get my George out for his constitutional and stretch my aching legs! Then I've nothing planned until an apiary meeting this evening when I return the honey extractor and chat to other beekeepers to see if their year has been as difficult as mine.
Enjoy your day everyone.
Jackie

Democracy HAS spoken. Doesn't stop me feeling shell shocked,

Still feel quite off in the gut. Perhaps the election is adding to the woes. Meanwhile I am going to try to do Tai Chi this morning. Couldn't sleep for quite a while last evening due to stomach ills. So thankfully there were old bad movies, jazz music, and coloring.
My accomplishment of the evening.
I would like to go back to bed and pull the covers over my head.

This is for Anne, all to do with H bombs, safe havens and sea cucumbers. In need of a good laugh today I couldn't resist. I can see why the Canadian navy might be struggling to find that bomb Anne!! LOL Will leave it for you to explain if Sneakers wonder what on earth I'm on about.

Oh boy JACKIE, I'm so glad I've already consumed my porridge! You are right though, we all need to lighten up today, it's time to see the funny side of life and have a good laugh. Nothing like a good belly laugh to bring everything into perspective.
Thanks for lightening my day,
Must keep my tiny dog away from sea cucumbers!

I just do not understand what just happened! I am tettering on panic and depression. I really applaud Buzz's calm positive attitude. Part of my personal crazies is I had my physical yesterday. Sooooo just as I suspected, I have a heart issue that will need further testing to decide the next course of action. John is on the case! He is doing incredible amounts of research so that when we go to the specialist, I will be able to speak with a bit a knowledge. Always best to be a full partner in ones health care.
Everything in the national news is so upsetting to me, I will need to duck my head and avoid reading or hearing about it. Not a great plan but at the moment, it is the best I can do. Hope you all are feeling okay about the current status of things. We will survive and somehow keep democracy alive.
Patsy, the worry wort!0 -
Lin - Feel better with your stomach woes. A very nice coloring picture, you use your colors so nicely.
Well I hope everyone survived the election last night. I had choir practice last night so I wasn't home for most of it but did stay up until midnight watching the results but then couldn't keep my eyes open.
It will be interesting to see how the country is going to be run with a business man in charge. He did use his strategy well to get the votes away from Hillary though. Just hope he goes through with the promises. This election affects Canada too, so we shall see what happens too.
Jackie - One word of advice, be careful with yourself in Yoga you can injure yourself if you go too far.
As I did this week in a Yin pose for too long and hurt the back of my knee. I was feeling great in the morning and since it was beautiful outside I decided to go for a long brisk walk and finished hobbling home. I guess I pulled something in my knee, I tend to go too far sometimes. I still love it, I just
have to be careful sometimes. I have been doing this for over 2 years now and I am still learning to respect my body.
Just taking it easy today with ice and hot pad. I have a shopping day planned tomorrow with a friend so I better feel better soon.

Happy Wednesday!! Went to bed early knowing that Trump pulled it off, how I am not sure but it is in God's Hands now, nothing we can do to change anything. I was at Robby's by 8AM and got home around 2:30, took a short nap and will be getting ready for bingo soon. Just wanted to stop in and say hi!!
I will be back tomorrow. Have a good evening!!

Interesting facts on our election results: She won the popular vote, he won the electoral vote!!! Both gave excellent speeches, and I saw no sign of the narcissism he projected through the campaign! Makes me wonder who is the REAL Donald! She gave a magnificent concession speech and called for a coming together and healing...and offered to help in any way she could. So PATSY, take good care of your health problems, and let the wiser heads worry about where we go from here! Somehow, we have survived some pretty miserable choices in the past , and let's hope we can do Buzzagain! The whole world is watching. I cannot figure out how a senator who never attended the sessions in Congress during his tenure got re-elected! Crying won't solve anything!
JACKIE, Ugh, and just before dinner

Hello, well, made it through today and my stomach feels a tiny bit better.
Tai Chi/Qigong was helpful and then went to another library to color. Met a friend there. It was just the two of us most of the time so much conversation on many topics. Off for discount day at the grocery store. Fixed some lunch and then finally made that pot of vegetable soup I said I needed to make back on Sunday. Just got that out Of the pot and into the refrigerator.
Have been checking out a web site again or prescription drugs but cannot find a way for me personally to save lots of money.
I plan to stay kind of low key for a while and hope my stomach decides to be happy.
Marie, I hope you got your veggies prepared. I did a lot of chopping today for my pot of soup. Takes a while doesn't it.
Jackie, very interesting but gack.
Sandy, best wishes at bingo!!
Buzz, always sensible my friend.
Anne, we had freezing temperatures here this morning so I wore a heavy long zip up fleece jacket/coat and it felt pretty good. Somewhere in my shopping history I purchased some on sale/clearance SmartWool socks and just started wearing them. Oh my. They are toasty!! Love them.
Shirley, great advice on not pushing too hard. It is so easy to strain or injure ourselves isn't it?
Patsy, I hope you are feeling a bit better. I am sorry you have to do more investigating on a heart issue. I am glad John is looking into this for you.
The dishes are calling to me. I have a book I would like to read. Reed Farrel Coleman is now authoring the Robert Parker series Jesse Stone.
I started a Thanksgiving coloring sheet today and might work on that later. I did get a card in the mail to a lady from church who has not been able to attend for a number of weeks.
Phoebe, back on the road. Drive safely.
Marcella, did you get the tire problem straightened out??
Wishing everyone well.

Evening, folks. Afraid I'm feeling the affects of remaining awake almost all last night waiting for the final results! Had dinner tonight with a lovely couple, dear to me, who were celebrating the election results and spouting unbelievably vile anti-Muslim statements! Very troublesome and hoping this is not typical of our new governing powers!
JACKIE, that caterpillar fish stayed with me through dinner and I ate much less than usual!
LIN, hope you are feeling much better so you can concentrate on your next project!

I'm just back from a long walk on the moors and for once we were lucky when a huge black cloud that was also sporting a beautiful rainbow looked ready to pour rain on us but the next we knew it had drifted south and missed us. George is in seventh heaven covered in mucky wet in spite of a good rubdown and I had to laugh at him because he is never going to be the posh dog he was designed to be. Once I've finished my coffee I shall be off to the store for supplies, something I had planned for first thing but somehow slept in and missed the opportunity.
Buzz ~ Perhaps viewing a sea cucumber in action could be a great idea for weight loss if seen just before each mealtime! That man has split your country down the middle unfortunately and I don't believe his latest conciliatory act, it's just not in his nature.... one day he's saying Hillary is going to jail the next she's the best thing since sliced bread and should be thanked for all she's done so I imagine every promise will be broken and 4 years will go by quickly!! You won't be surprised to learn that Americans living in the UK asked about your new President admit embarrassment and say they don't like to let on they ARE Americans!
Shirley ~ Now I'm putting up with a pulled muscle in my bottom that makes it difficult to climb steps so can see you are right about this yoga stretching. I'm the oldest in the class by quite a few years and was probably trying to keep up with the youngsters.... a big mistake! Even getting back up off the floor takes me twice as long at the moment! Today's walk has eased the pain quite a bit and I'll know better next week and keep my eyes closed so I won't be tempted to over stretch. I do hope your knee is less painful today and take your advice because if that can happen to you after 2 years yoga practice I've no chance with just 3 lessons under my belt.
Sandy ~ Did you win your fortune at bingo? I'm sure you had fun whatever the result!
Lin ~ I'll have to take a closer look at those white blobs over our weather presenter's shoulder because they might be further south and over YOU!! Keep warm dear friend. You probably have different sources to check out online for prescription drugs but do be careful because we are warned about bogus sites that sell pills that have all sorts of bad content, some dangerous, pretending they are legitimate. With all the threatened upheaval of your health care there will be crooks out there hoping to take advantage! A beautiful flower you created the other evening and so much more attractive than a sea cucumber!!
Patsy ~ Hey worry wort, the most important thing in your life right now is to take care of that beautiful heart of yours, the rest will take care of itself. It's the way of elections anywhere in the world that every politician promises the earth knowing they can never fulfill what they say, look at our Brexit and you've been promised Brexit times ten!! LOL Wonderful that John is on your case so have no fear, the best option will be found for you.
Marie ~ You sound so positive with your plans for church as well as the diet you enjoyed so much and that puts a smile on my face.
While I've typed the rain has poured outside but now the sun is out again so I will head for the store. Another week nearly over!! Enjoy your Thursday everyone.

Good day - another day spent with ladies at the library. Well, the morning at least and then home for a webinar and more cooking (does that ever slow down?). My main email address is not receiving mail (hasn't been since early last evening) and now I cannot login at all. I wonder if I should try to call tech support? Oh my, I think I'll wait a bit longer.
Jackie, do be careful. Trying to keep up with others is never a great policy for me and hasn't been at any age! I detest having more aches, pains and injuries so have really cut back to just the Tai Chi/Qigong, walking and sometimes when I feel particularly good, a bit of jogging, but just a bit. Take care and George is a real dog......I am sure he is enjoying his life much more getting a bit dirty (okay, maybe A LOT dirty) than he would as a show dog.
I should say I am only checking out two Canadian web sites. Each one recommended to me by people who have used them and are satisfied with product and service. But I am just checking on things and haven't made any commitment to order.....yet.
My stomach is a bit better again today. I do think the aftermath of the local tragedies here with the officers killed, flags at half staff, continued memorial services, and daily reminders of the loss have eaten at me, then heap on the election and it has just made me ill. Hopefully it is nothing more. Once again many people at my church are fighting some virus so I try to take care. I hope you are as well!
The weather here is nice right now with highs in the 60s. Tomorrow the temps will drop for Veterans Day but only to seasonal levels. WHITE BLOBS STAY AWAY!
Buzz, even the video didn't dampen my appetite yesterday!
Wishing everyone well. Hugs.
Lin0 -
BUZZ, you have to remember the sea cucumber was only dredging and depositing sand! The fish was taking advantage of a hidey hole! I'd eaten my porridge so I had no problems! Still, I know what you mean! Lol. Ain't nature wonderful. It throws up all sorts of politicians which means the next one who comes along will be a positive Mother Theresa!
I agree with JACKIE, PATSY, take care of Patsy and her precious heart first, and stop being a worry wart! After all we aren't dealing with Attila the Hun, William the Conqueror, Ivan the Terrible, or any of the other little mothers darlings that history threw at the poor folk of their day.
It can't be all bad though; being a happy little sea cucumber, peacefully dredging sand and oblivious to humankind, unless caught of course!
Well we got back from a long frosty walk. Jill bounced along pulling playfully at her leash most of the way. She's such a happy little soul. A dear little six year old playing in the leaves with his little sister and one of my favourite street kiddies, although they are ALL nice children, stopped playing to say "your dog is high energy". Bright little discerning boy!
I am recovering with a cup of tea, The Bean is snoozing next to me on the sofa with no chores to do!
Anne.
0 -
PS. Half hour later! The Beans woken up and is helping me dust. That is every time I dust something low she grabs the duster, plays tug of war, wins, and gallops off with said duster. At this point I go get another duster, and we continue with this ritual. Reminds me of "Pooh sticks" only I never win. About 1hour later I will collect dusters ready for the next time favourite Bean game.
Never a dull moment since Jillys arrival six and a half months ago!
Anne.1 -
Me again! Just letting any would be new energetic puppy owners know that raking leaves is even more fun than chasing dusters! Wonder how she will feel about snow flakes?
Anne and the menace.1 -
Happy Thursday! Meeting day and then out to dinner later to celebrate a friend's birthday.
It is actually tomorrow as is my grandson's but today was the best day for all. I do hope all the political stuff dies down on Facebook soon, it really is dividing this country. We certainly need a change and hopefully he will help with the economy. Enough said!!
Babe called to tell me that the doctor at Mayo told him through his son that he has a rare disease between his brain and central nervous system and there is no cure. It is not life threatening but could get worse to the point where he might have to live with someone so he doesn't fall. It could also stay the same so it is a wait and see kind of situation. The doctor still wants him to have the closed MRI here so they are still working that out. Babe is taking it one day at a time and is grateful he isn't going to die from this disease.
Have a great day!!
Sandy

Jackie- Sorry to hear about your pulled muscle, but I am still sore and limping around. I went shopping with my friend now sitting here with ice pack and heat again. My knee is getting better but now my calf muscle is killing me after all the walking today. I never learned either, always trying to do what everyone else does and more, lesson learned.
My friend and I had a great time shopping for Christmas today and we shopped for each other as well and picked out what we both wanted. That was fun and we will do it again next year.
Sandy - I agree about the election results on Facebook, I just scrolled through it and said REALLY!
Enough already! It's done and move on.
